FirstGear Heated Riding Gear

With riding season just around the corner, or even for those that are already riding, it’s going to be a little chilly for those early morning or late evening commutes for a few more weeks yet.  FirstGear has an excellent selection of heated gear offered by Riders Discount.  With items ranging from complete jackets, to sock liners, you’re sure to be warm wearing any of their heated products.   Worried about getting wet with this kit?  Don’t be, the DC power will not shock you if any of the accessories were to get wet. 

 

Required with any of the FirstGear heated gear is the Heat-Troller kit, offered in both a single or dual thermostat option.  The single Heat-Troller (pictured) allows you to variably control the heat output of one or multiple connected garments such as a jacket and gloves, or jacket and pants liner.  A dual Heat-Troller allows you to variably control heat between any set of gear.  For instance, a dual allows you to maintain heat on the jacket, and simultaneously crank the heat for the gloves, pants, and socks.  

 

 

FirstGear also offers a waterproof wireless remote that is pre-paired out of the box.  With velcro, or wrist strap mount options, you can keep this tethered around your arm, or mount it to your handlebars.  

 

One of the more common package purchases is the jacket liner and gloves liner option available from FirstGear.  The FirstGear Heated Rider Gloves fit true to size and have heating elements in the fingers, thumb, and back of the hand.  An optional “Passenger Glove” has the added feature of a heated palm.  

 

 

Rubber wiper sewn in to aid in wiping your shield of any moisture. 

 

 

The final piece of this kit is the FirstGear Heated Jacket Liner.  The liner feels like a light wind breaker jacket, but with heating elements inside that will keep you much warmer.  Able to fit in any jacket, this allows you to continue to wear your favorite motorcycle jacket during the coldest of rides.   

 

Simply connect the Heat-Troller to the liner via an easily accessible power cord in the left hand pocket.  

 

 

In the accessory pocket on the bottom of the liner is the cord connecting the gloves to the liner.

 

 

Or, with the included Y-cable, you can add the heated pants liner.
