Dave and Busters sucks.

No colors, no patches/tshirts/caps...my money gets spent elsewhere.  Also got two completely biker friendly bars within 40 miles of me.  Don't let me or any of the organizations hereabouts catch one of the pussy-assed owners/regular staff in one of our places.

The place is an adult by age, child by mentality Chucky Cheese.  It's where "Basic Bros" go to hang.

This just supports my hate of the place.

Been there once many years ago when it opened and it sucked.  Everything is way way overpriced.  Its just another way to get people to gamble their money away.  Personally I would rather go to the casino and give my money away with the hopes of coming home in the black vs. trading money for Chucky Cheese tickets.  On the flip side, maybe one day I can get that Sega that's 100,000 tickets!

that place sucks anyway. me and the wife stayed down in polaris for a night for a little getaway while i was gear shopping at IP. thought it would be fun to go to dave and busters and get drunk and play games.

place was full of fucking kids. like, parents would just dump their kids off there and fuck off. as we were leaving a whole crew of some ghetto ass columbus thugs were walking in. fuck that place.

  1. A group of our legion riders were at the Dave and Busters restaurant in Westlake on Friday all of them had their vests on everyone was welcomed and was served with no problems the management apologized for the mix-up at the other location Their dress code in under review Here is a copy of a letter that was posted on their facebook page --------Dave & Buster's is extremely grateful to all of our active military members and veterans, and we are honored to have them as valued guests. We have apologized to Mr. Murdock for his experience this past weekend. Mr. Murdock has raised important concerns regarding our policies. We recognize the need to educate our team members about the American Legion, and have reached out to the local American Legion Post 179, and the national organization for guidance. In addition, we will review our approach to our dress code. We remain fully committed to our military and will work with the American Legion and Mr. Murdock on ways we can support their mission and their community.

That's discriminatory.  There's a ton of riding clubs and AMA clubs in southern Ohio; apparently our money isn't good enough.

Damn it man, you just ruined a perfectly good rant.

No he didn't.  Whether you fly a 3 piece with a diamond or an AMA patch, or just don't sport at all, bars and restaurants seem to have no problem running you off.  But BubbaBobBilly is ok in the main dining room fistfucking Marylou on top of the table with kids watching.

In my late teens and 20s I rode with a 1% club for around 10 years before getting out and stayed independent for about 30 years .I have been riding with the ALR for around 10 years now and have never had any issues while wearing my vest even with the 1% clubs I always wear my vest when riding the none riding cagers always give me a wide berth when they see the patch and I think the cops give me a break because of the legion patch also. But the general public still sees the stereo type.

American Legion Riders have more than 100,000 members. They are all Current Military, Veterans/ Legion members, Sons of the American Legion, or Auxiliary. Joining the ALR is a way to socialize with fellow Vets. Just like serving together in the military, it is like a brotherhood. The mission of the ALR is service to others. The ALR has raised Millions of dollars for charities. Schools, Children's Hospitals, Wounded Veterans organizations, College funds for wounded, or K.I.A. veteran's kids, etc. ALR members typically wear their membership vests while escorting funeral processions of fallen veterans, Fire Dept., or Police officers. Asking a ALR members to remove his vest, is akin to asking a Marine to remove his uniform. They will not comply, just to appease someone.

Are you legit upset or just trolling? It's a ball pit for morons. Your money should never cross their threshold in the first place.

Legitimately pissed.  I go somewhere on the bike with or without others, my wife; I expect to be left alone.  I don't bother others and expect the same.

free market. ultimately it's their fucking business and they get to decide who comes in. i support their freedom to turn down people's money for whatever reason they want.

So I can ban gays from my business? Or black people?

Not a fair comparison.  I am not for govt telling a business it has to do something. I am also not for people being discriminated against because of something they CAN'T change like their color or their sexual preference. A pirate can take off his vest and be welcome in the establishment. A black person can't change his color.

on the other side of the coin, how many patch holding bikers do you think were pissed off that a city govt forced a baker to make a cake for a gay couple but are enraged that dave and buster's denied entry to a motorcycle club?

kind of like conservatives crying about how liberals are pussies and need safe spaces and then get all bent out of shape when someone burns a flag or does something else "unpatriotic"

Honestly? Yes. I believe a private business should be able to discriminate however it feels. Why should someone be forced to provide services to someone they don't want to? I also believe that makes them stupid and I'd not patronize that establishment.

im on the fence about this. what if we apply that logic to the medical profession? should a surgeon be able to deny a life-saving operation based on color? disregarding the hypocratic oath, of course.

Why does it have to be a life saving scenario?  It's ok to discriminate unless someone dies?
