As our first song, I recorded the rythm guitar, bass guitar, and guitar solo on a track. I gave to to my drummer who made a part to it. Then name of the song is "Purge"...I just finished the lyrics, tell me ( honestly ) what you think of them. You aren't telling a story here, you are expressing emotion. The music needs to match it. You can make the lyrics be angry or sad depending on the speed and pitch. What bands are you influenced by? Sounds like most of you don't like em It is my first set, but I am proud of them. A lot of anger? Guest stevil Posted May 4, 2004 Report Share Posted May 4, 2004 Looks good to me. graemlins/thumb.gif And I agree, with metal it's mostly the music... your lyrics could actually be about making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, but when you're belting it out nobody is gonna notice the content, as much as the emotion. Has to be something short, punctual, and cool sounding. My lead guitarist was like: "Sons of a utopian hatred" That got shot down fast. I was thinking like...
