Sean, silver srt-4 and another claimed the NEON was the first compact car to run a 9 sec 1/4 mile (streetable car) ...

well I found evidence that proves them wrong:

"If you don’t know Jason, then you don’t know fast FWD street cars. Jason has been one of the only people to run a 9 second ET in a car that weighs approx. 2400 lbs, has full interior, does not use wheelie bars, and can be driven to get milk for your morning cereal. Jason qualified #1 with an impressive 10.06 @ 148 mph. IN the first round of qualifying, Jason killed his competition running an eye popping 9.878 @ 149 mph. Wow!!!! That is one fast FWD street car."

and this one:

"In addition to running the first 9-second FWD street car pass, Jason was crowned the Imstar Street Renegade Champion in 2002 and was runner-up in 2004 in the NOPI Turbo 4 class championship"

BUT if you want to talk DRAG car then thats different, the first compact DRAG car was a civic hatch to break 9s ...

ANd even still the DSMs were breaking records before the neon did anything (other than break down).

so there you have it, neon wasnt the first to break 9s, it might have just been the first to break down, Ill give you that

nope the comment was not all motor, Sean said "Neon- first sport compact street car to break the 9's, also is a reigning champ at many drag events and has been for years!"

so no, all motor would be incorrect... that doesnt apply to his statement as he clearly said FIRST, key word, SPORT COMPACT, key phrase, STREET CAR, another point, TO BREAK THE 9's, the money shot ...

Why is Marc trying (and failing) to be such a dick to Clark? Is it because Marc has nothing fast and clark does, and marc's only argument is that his runs (slowly) and Clark's is still being finished?

Actually, I would suggest you put the bong down and re-read this thread.

I quoted Scott and was a dick to him...actually getting Clarks back. Then Clark said something smartass to me...and so it went.

Nice try though.
