well 70k asking price is bad, but look at motorex, who originally imported it probably. Their prices are even higher and that doesnt include shipping from ca. I mean its all about supply and demand. Just a handful registered to drive so its crazy expensive. Plus all the dumbass kids who love their video games and f&f thinks its the greatest thing since porn.

Do not buy a car from Denny. Many of the horror stories are true and most of the cars he sells are Ebay specials that have had the shit ran out of them. One story I have happened a few years ago. He brought a black RX7 to my friends body shop that his father owns. He told them to paint it yellow even though there was nothing wrong with the car and they said ok we will do it. About a week after getting the car painted they saw it on his site saying very rare special eddition yellow RX7 from factory and had the price marked up. I have many more stories because a friend of mine also washes cars for Denny and I hear all of the bullshit that goes on there. The Skyline's motar wasn't built when it came to Denny as well. Instead it had two cracked pistons along with some other engine problems and he had work done to the car to get it running ok again. Also it isn't tuned and from what I was told is a pice of shit for the price that he is asking for it.

That RX7 was originally Montego blue. Shortly after the paint work they( they being at Denny Dotson) had someone power wash the engine bay. It would not run afterwards. The power washer destroyed the front harness by getting water into all the connectors and causing catastrophic corrosion in all the pin holes.

I think it was ten yrs ago when he still owned Liberty Chevy/Dodge. The guy went from owning a new car lot selling two major brands to hocking used cars. That says alot. Similar story to Dave Smith of the Red Barn fame in Pataskala, he HAD a Ford dealership in Pataskala. Ford came and litterally loaded their cars up and took them, told him that they wouldn't let him sell their cars. That was after the third or fourth time he got caught cranking back odometers. I wonder what Denny Dotson did to loose his dealership.

 

BTW, who is the fuck that has the big home made wing fabbed up from tubing from a swingset and the 1 pound coffee can exhaust tip on hte Nissian Sentra that I saw. I about wrecked my car laughin at his shitbox the other day.

I would agree, all I have ever heard about them is bad. But they do have some nice looking cars in there sometimes. Their pricing always seems kind of high and they don't seem to turn the cars over in there lot very fast. There have been several cars that have sat on that lot for six or more months.

One of my friends went out to look at it, said it was a mechanical nightmare. The hood didn't line up and close right, and the motor knocked horribily. Denny Dotson=should have his dealer lisence revoked for all of the crap he try's to sell.

Denny does sell some pretty shitty cars. My friend was set on buying a 97 or 98 Eclipse GS-T from him. My buddy took it on a 24 hour test drive to his house. On the way home the car stalled multiple times at 40mph. The thing was a mechanical nightmare. I would never buy a car from there.

that car is the shit. but when i think how bad i could blow its doors off for 70,000. then it seems like a big waste. with a 421 sb. about 15,000. two t 72 innovative turbos one that i already have the other for 1600. then two bovs 600. then two newgen wastegates 1200. misc piping to make the intercooler tubbing 400. my twin turbo hedders. 265. having them tig welded up for 400. efi setup for 1800 hp 5600. turbonetics liquid to air intercooler 4000. and misc other stuff. way high here 10,000. total. $39065. which leaves 30,935 for bragging rights. and a down payment on a nice house.
