The board not showing the correct time for you?

Due to Daylight Savings Time (Spring Forward/Fall Back), sometimes you'll get on CR and the times for posts will be off. Here's how to fix that, as I can only do so much on my end.

 

Go to the link in the upper-left corner of the forums, "User CP" to view your Control Panel.

 

In the User CP, click on the "Edit Options" link. This will take you to several options that allow you to customize CR, one being the date/time settings.

 

Within this area, you'll see a section labeled "Time Zone", with a pair of drop-down tabs. You need to do the following!

 

1) Make sure the first drop-down bar, named "Time Zone", is showing :(GMT -5:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada), Bogota, Lima" (Note: only applies to individuals in the Central Ohio time zone. Select your time zone if different than CR's local time zone).

 

2) The second drop-down bar, named DST Correction Option, needs to have "Automatically detect DST settings" enabled.

 

Click "Save Changes" and your times will now reflect correctly when making and viewing posts. The picture below demonstrates the settings you'll need to have enabled to view the local times correctly, again for the Central Ohio time zone.
