TheHaze
Rocky is Staffordshire Terrier. Only pic I have was when he was around 6 or 7 months old: http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l17/mikehaze_2006/Familigia/rock.jpg MJ is a Lab/ Golden Retriever mix. He's almost 15 and since I got Rocky, he's on his toes all the time and acts like a puppy: http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l17/mikehaze_2006/Familigia/mj2.jpg Every picture I've taken of either dog, their eyes will be that respective color that each shows in these pics. Guest Hal
Right now I have 3 dogs. I just lost one that was part aussie shephard and part border collie. The other 3 are mutts Mimi (our female alpha) is 1/2 golden and 1/2 lab. Toby is 1/2 german 1/2 golden. Barney (our newest addition) is part boxer, part pit, and mostly beagle. Along with those, we have 34 (I think, not positive) cats. My mom and sister have a thing for taking in poor kittens. If you came in our house you would only thing we had one or two though. And we're not like the crazy people you see on the news. Each one is well fed and up to date on all shots.

thorne
you car like water duff? My maincoone loves water. He used to jump in the shower in the morning with me. Kinda scary. I love the staffordshire. Have you had any issues with it? I had to get cleared by my insurnace company for my OLDE just because he has pit lines. TheHaze
I love the staffordshire. Have you had any issues with it? I had to get cleared by my insurnace company for my OLDE just because he has pit lines. In anyything with insurance or anything, I just says he's a mix and we're not sure exactly what. He's a very defensive dog. He acts like such a baby and loves people but if someone shows any aggression to me or my family, he goes apeshit and will start barking and growling. On the other hand, if he hears something loud, such as something fall over in the basement, he may bark, but then put his ears back and get scared and sit next to me until I go check what it is...lol

He is so defensive of my family, and has even snapped at people for no reason, but when he sees someone enough, he is just a big baby. My cat and my puppy play with each other 24/7, and even have play fights, and my declawed cat always wins lol.

I mean I know he would protect our home. hes came at me when i came out of the basement and apparently he forgot I was home. But if something falls he will try and hide behind me. How big is your boy? Big jo is ckc/ioeba regged. I've had to tell the nieghbors this more then once, People think hes a pit bull. You take him to the dog park? I know the TRUE dog lovers love the power breeds and know there not inherrently agressive. Just when they are because of there power they can hurt someone. My pug on the other hand thinks he's a full blown Rott or something. He will go after bigger dogs . Even tried to take big jo to the ground. Puma hates water like most cats, he's just fucking stupid and sleeps in the sink. He likes laying down in a laundry basket and being spun so he's really dizzy then runs around the house running into shit. He'll do it like 3 times before he's done with it. evan9381
wierd...as i was feeding the pets today, i was thinking of starting a thread just like this...we've got a small zoo here at my appt. here are current pics (taking right now so they are current) cats - captain (white/tan) and cola (gray/white)...captain is almost 1 year old, cola is about 3ish (not really sure) http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/DSC00723.jpg?t=1176179753 http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/DSC00724.jpg?t=1176179753 fish...theres about 6 or so in there, i dont know what kinds they are, theyre my g/f's. i just look at them...no names for the fish http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/DSC00720.jpg?t=1176179753 my ball python....still young, had him about 2-3 months, hes around 22" long right now http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/DSC00725.jpg?t=1176179753 tree frogs my g/f just picked up at the reptile show last month. got 2 there and got another one at the pet store...they dont really do anything but sit around, but when its time to feed them the crickets, its pretty cool...and the big one croaks sometimes...definately an odd thing to hear for the first time http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/DSC00714.jpg?t=1176179753 http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/DSC00726.jpg?t=1176179753 http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/DSC00728.jpg?t=1176179753 http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/DSC00729.jpg?t=1176179753 i want to get an albino burmese python, but i dont think i have the time/energy/money to have a snake that large...maybe in the future
thorne
How big do the pythons get? My wife refues to let me get a snake that could eat our pug.
evan9381
the ball python i have will get to be about 3.5 ft, 4ft the guy said it would be fairly large. he said at his biggest, he would eat a large rat you dont have to worry about it eating a dog. #1 because its too big and it wont try to eat it if it knows its too big, and #2, its not like youre going to put your pug in the cage with the snake. i think in a given week, the snake spends maybe an hour out of his tank. FWIW, they were saying on the news that 24ft python the zoo just got will eat 2 10lb rabbits a week. the 9ft burmese i was holding at the snake shop this weekend will only eat a medium rabbit
thorne
see thats the thing my wife also don't want. live feedings. I think it woul dbe cool. Nature FTW
evan9381
you can feed them frozen rats...its just not as cool to watch. one of the good things about it is a) its cheaper and b) you dont have to worry about the rat f'ing your snake up...you cant see it, but about 2" from his head a rat got him good last week. its healing up, im hoping with this next shed he'll be good to go.
