depends whats leaking and how bad, but most likely i would just fix it. especially if its a popular, newer, american car where every part imaginable is readily available at autozone, jegs, etc.

It leaves a 2-3inch around puddle(after 30 minutes) when I am driving like I have sense. When I open it up, its about 5 inches around.
