My feelings off the top of my head are that they could get VERY hot rather quickly. The idea behind a larger slotted or vented rotor is heat dissipation (sp?). These are going to get hot quick and have little surface to allow heat to get out of them. I understand they have a way to track in the air flow, but honestly, I just don't see this being applicable for racing. Street and custom? Sure.

Think of it this way - Kawasaki Heavy Industries is HUGE on airplane development and design. You'd think they of all the big three would have tried this in application earlier. I suspect they have and it failed.

I just think the idea is cool - less rotation mass and less gyro effect, but in the end, what good is that if the rotor goes to shit before the race is over?

And to the damage - makes sense, but again, to what cost?
