Guest 614Streets
We arrived around 8:30 am at Tanskys Toyota body shop located off 161. My younger brother Paul sprayed the truck with PPG I had originally purchased , not recently by any means , otherwise we would have used RM. 3 base coats , 3 clear coats. I have new everything from LMC truck to put the componets , glass and trim on it. I also managed to find and purchase NOS A&A specialties urethane rollpan , the same on I had on this s10 in the late 90's early 2000's. The A&A pan is my favorite rollpan , not a fan of steel in ohio , welded in look is not my style , and no s10 rollpan available has a straight across look with no drop down for the license plate which I think looks like shit on s10's. Although mine didnt make it fed in time for d - day. Body work consisted of dollying a large dent cause by a large mac toolbox in the bed that freewheeeled into the upper roofline. Crease dents from opening door into garage pilliar(small) , and welding in new ext cab panels , all done by myself in 2003. So lets get to the pictures. Big thanks to my brother for an amazing amount of labor and making this happen and Rob Powelson for his help! http://614streets.com/PaulpaintS10/PIC_0924.jpg http://614streets.com/PaulpaintS10/PIC_0870.jpg http://614streets.com/PaulpaintS10/PIC_0871.jpg http://614streets.com/PaulpaintS10/PIC_0872.jpg http://614streets.com/PaulpaintS10/PIC_0873.jpg http://614streets.com/PaulpaintS10/PIC_0874.jpg http://614streets.com/PaulpaintS10/PIC_0875.jpg http://614streets.com/PaulpaintS10/PIC_0876.jpg http://614streets.com/PaulpaintS10/PIC_0877.jpg

I have to get all the trim , windows, and small parts on it and then move onto making up a foot of 6an to tie in the regulator so I can farm it out to a dynotuning shop. FourString
That looks great. I wish I could afford to get my pile painted. I have even thought of doing it myself to save the money, but I have no clue how to paint a vehicle. Great job though

RS69
Nice, how many booths does Tansky's have? How did you like the LMC panels? Was there rework on any of the panels or were they pretty clean? I am thinking of buying a cab corner from them for my Z71.

Guest 614Streets
They have 2 Devilbiss expert downdraft booths with a paint mixing station in the center. The LMC panels were a great fit and came out very nice I ended up butt cutting these and using a strip of filler metal behind them and then tacking up the 1/16th gap. I used por 15 on the backside of the repair panels and floated it into the exsisting rocker panel in an amount that it dripped from the rocker to cab seam so I could try to preserve the oem welds and steel.I jacked up the rear end so it would float all the way to the front of the cab. I didnt have to rework them , just fitted them over the area , scribed the cut line with black permanent marker , made the cuts then drilled out the welds and hammer and chiseled off the metal , wire wheeled it clean , 3 steped it with por 15 etc. I would get a cab corner for your z-71 from them. I got further with the s10 today , got all dry sanding and buffing done , got rear window in and lots of weather striping. Looks sick. Guest 614Streets
looks good. cant wait to spank it with my s10 Well Matt if I built this to do anything other than cruise then you spanking it would be something to be proud of. I do have another car set around a 1320 , but it is not finished so you will have to wait for a track race.
