Casper Posted February 10, 2009 Report Share Posted February 10, 2009 So a thread on CR has prompted me to post this.The long and the short of it: Seems several people, myself included, heard what sounded like a sonic boom Wednesday night between 11:30p and 12:00a. I heard it, and went outside thinking someone shot the house. The windows shook, the dogs woke and were freaking, etc. I searched everywhere and couldn't find anything. Checked the basement and garage, nothing. Called the Pickerington police. They said it was ice breaking on people's roofs. Not sure, but it was good enough for me to go back to sleep.So then people started posting all over the area saying the heard the same thing. Okay, maybe this isn't ice breaking. It could be the new mach 12 stealth plane the Air Force is developing. I was watching the Discovery channel about area 51. Supposedly this jet can make it from Area 51 to New York in 10 minutes. Or maybe I did hear it and didn't think anything of it. I've got a lot of hillbillies and a columbus city bus station really close... lots of weird noises there. I live at an apartment complex and thought it might have been someone screwing around with the dumpsters around the property. When the trucks pick up the dumpsters it's loud a hell. But they come in the morning....It very well could have been a sonic boom...and i watched that show on area 51 and about Aurora.
