Xyster101
It is open to register for NASA Mid Ohio Track Days!! They are April 9, 10, 11. It is ~$200 for just Friday and it is $370 for Sat/Sun. That is 4 sessions per day at 20-25 minutes each! I put over 180 miles on my car from the track alone last time for 2 days. YOU DONT NEED A FAST CAR! Just any car that is in good mechanical order, of course a sporty car is a plus, but I ran my fiance's 03 civic coupe with all seasons once. I am signed up already for April 10/11 and will be camping there. If you want to go, join NASA and then head over to: http://www.nasagreatlakes.com/ Click on register. If you have not done a track day with their High Performance Driving Experience, you need to. Sign up with Group 1. You get some class time and an instructor on the course. You can also ride with random drivers, just ask. Totally sweet. Camping is free if you want to stay on the track grounds or get a hotel near by. It is only 1 hour from Columbus. Any interested? http://www.adamdaley.com/max/mr2/0709midohio/car2.jpg

Xyster101
I just checked and HPDE is still open. They added more slots, I emailed Dave about it. There are not many left. Cold is good, good for the turbo, inter cooler, tires, everything! Much better then August when the temp is 95 and probably 120 on the track, at least in April, nothing over heats. ansonivan
I'll be up after work on Friday to socialize, running in the slow group on Saturday/Sunday. Here's the car at the time of purchase, it's not nearly as filthy or reverse raked anymore but I don't have any current pictures. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2647/4113295850_9fa605a0da_b.jpg
Xyster101
Eric, I remember seeing your car last year. At least I think it was you. Do you have a roll cage and a loud exhaust? If so, you were out there just stomping on people! My buddy drives a Mazda Speed 3 out there. He used to do group 3 and now he does TT. Anson, is the slow group 1? I will be in group 2. Either way, it would be neat to meet up. I will keep an eye out for your rides, you guys look for me.
ansonivan
Correct, I'll be in hpde1 at least for the first few sessions, I want to approach the weekend at worm level and learn maximally.

Science Abuse
I'll be there.... with a jump box. I haven't found whatever is causing my hard-start, I just know that I need 14.3v to fire it up, 13.5v won't do. Grumble grumble.
Xyster101
Is she a stick shift? Can you pop the clutch? Sorry to hear about the hard starts. I got some SS brake lines and R compound pads installed on the car! Going to do an oil change today in the cold and bleed the brakes. Supposed to be some good weather for Sat and Sun. http://www.adamdaley.com/max/mr2/ssbrakes.JPG

ansonivan
Fantastic weekend, great meeting some of you guys, can't wait to do it again. That was easily the best $350 I've ever spent, my driving improved drastically over the course of two days but I still got passed by damn near every car on track Also, most of you missed karaoke on Saturday night... wow, NASA officials know how to throw down. Rich (ohiobimmers guy) was kind enough to blast off a bunch of pictures with my crappy point and shoot camera, they're not great but they do feature a few of your cars. Complete set here: Most of Max's car: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2350/4514753254_aaab9ca5a5.jpg All of my car and all of Max's but they're both tiny and out of focus http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4046/4514749354_9f1721da79_b.jpg semi-focused picture of my car http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2367/4514107189_b2dd75d1c7_b.jpg Dodson's Integra http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2079/4514085659_7e79f94fb7_b.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2726/4514081453_65aca9b517_b.jpg Woot!!! http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2382/4514027117_936f03e7fe_b.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4021/4514007419_5b6d71d883_b.jpg
Xyster101
I also had a great time. It was too bad that Eric had some car troubles, but glad he made it back up there. Spun the car twice off the track, but kept it all in order. My friend in the STi spun just after madness and hit a wall. Bent the hood, destroyed the right fender and door, blew both air bags and cracked the windsheild. He was ok though. We had the white evo guy tow us back. Sorry Anson, no picture of your car. Eric, you have 2 different rims on your car, why? http://www.adamdaley.com/max/mr2/0410MidOhio/IMG_1825.jpg http://www.adamdaley.com/max/mr2/0410MidOhio/IMG_1826.jpg http://www.adamdaley.com/max/mr2/0410MidOhio/IMG_1842.jpg http://www.adamdaley.com/max/mr2/0410MidOhio/IMG_1857.jpg
