Hmm pics aren't working for me. Do I fail or can people not see them as well?

you know what boats are?

they are holes in the water that you throw money into

Says folks that either

- Never owned a boat

- Owned a POS boat that never ran right

- Owned a boat and are lame and never used it

I've owned the same boat for 10 years. Other than blowing the motor (2k to replace it with a brand new crate motor...factory motor had low oil pressure ever since I owned it), I haven't sunk much into mine...probably average a couple hundred bucks a year in maintenance/repairs/upkeep.

^^^+1 on what Joe said. My dad's told me the same thing when I've asked him about his.

He's owned his 1997 Malibu Sunsetter since 1996, he said its usually a couple hundred a year in maintenance, (nothing major), and the most money it's cost him in nearly 15 years is a new transmission, which he said was around $1000 installed. I'd say that's extremely low maintenance, try driving a car for 15 years and get away with that.

Well, you do fail... but I can't see the pics either.

Hmm, I resaved the post and they're showing up now, not sure if the other site is ruining my links or what. I'll check back in a bit and make sure they're still up.

Edit: Oh yeah, dow in less than a minute from the Yamaha Jet Boat forum. Let me upload them to another site and re-link.

Edit 2: DucatiSpot.com for the win. I'm pretty sure I've linked to them before and they stay up.

LOL. It pulls it out of the water fine, now hills on a highway, that's another (and pitiful) story.

The problem is, you add a new truck to a new boat purchase, and you've got an OFFENSIVE amount of cash tied up in depreciating assets LOL. So I'm just going to be careful with the Montero and borrow a full size from my dear Father if I head cross country.

They are fine now, nice looking boat! This post has me thinking about a small boat, like the one Sam had. I always thought that thing was cool when he was selling it on here.

I've always spent my time on the water in salt water, not sure much I'd like the freshwater in Ohio thing.

That's some time down the road anyways... need to save up for a house for now!

That is really awesome by the way, a testament to jet boats, Sea Doo, both, whatever. I really hope mine is as good!

They are great boats if taken care of properly but that goes for anything. Actually Linn and I are goin to change the oil in mine this weekend hopefully and I will be ready to roll out.
