What to look for-buying 06 Busa

Check the oil. Smell it. Not much else to worry about besides the motor. Chains and sprockets would be worth checking for excess wear. If the oil is dirty and the chains/sprockets are wore out chances are it's been abused and not taken care of. But oh wait a minute, its a busa with staps and a extended swingarm, it's been used/abused.

Ok.

I got a full story on the bike, he has owned it for a while but is a computer geek-never went fast. The arm was put on just 2 months ago-and cheezer wiz only got a 10.4@14x out of it!

Front fork seals are leakin. Is that a big issue?

fork seals arent a big deal but u will want to get it fixed means it could of been wheelied or straped down to far but u dont want that oil on ur front brake pads

Just got back, the think was cherry fucking mint. Motor dead quiet-looks like its never been sprayed, and he does not seem like the guy to go fast at all. He was trying to impress my GF telling her how he went "real fast" on the street one time-120mph. I kid you not....

He bought it new from the dealer. I was LOL'n all the way home!

AND I made $300 at the indian casino!!!

Doesn't look cherry fucking mint to me...and that's just from the pictures, who knows in person.

But if its a deal, its a deal, doesn't matter condition. congrats jp, looks like fun

^ what doesnt look mint on it? aside from some brake dust, some bird shit, and a couple tiny wear-and-tear rock chips...the paint looks nice, not all swirly, everything looks clean on it - not scraped up and oil covered etc... just needs a good detail, and if its mechanically in good condition, then ide say its a nice bike

congrats!

Its not factory new, but for what I paid its mint to me!! Its an original anniversary Orange bike. As I said the kid is weird. He always wore a book bag, so he painted the solo and rear cowl with "rustolium" black since his bag was scratching the paint.

I shit you not.

I hate to be the one that breaks it to you but that is NOT a 2003 Anniversary Orange bike. The most noticeable reason is the anniversary bikes had black frames.

That bike appears to have been dropped on both sides and repainted. A few other flags for me but as long as you are happy that's all that matters... ;)
