OSUPITTSBURGH427
From what I've seen it looks like a beast. However I have not done a whole lot of research on it just a little sleuthing. I would like to shoot one though and get a feel for how it handles and its accuracy.
OSUPITTSBURGH427
Sorry this should have gone with it... http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.concealco.com/4ed_med_2.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.concealco.com/ccu_460row.html&usg=__NS6EOrauSQHa3RAkRWCnAWi5vak=&h=480&w=640&sz=55&hl=en&start=1&sig2=-wTZJ4D8Dv62mFWxBoU6Ow&zoom=1&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=J4drhD-bD7V9LM:&tbnh=103&tbnw=137&prev=/images%3Fq%3D.460%2Browland%2Bballistics%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26rlz%3D1R2GGLL_en%26tbs%3Disch:1&ei=7oZQTerHHcO88gaSus2aDg
RedRocket1647545505
I've never shot it, but have heard of it. Clark Custom guns makes a conversion kit for like $300 if that's what you're looking for. http://static.texashuntfish.com/pics/2008/06/02/large/b128bde8-4b04-4b98-8906-61e6d28c67a6.jpg I'm a sucker for odd cartridges, but I also reload for everything I have, so it makes it simple to feed. It puts out some pretty rowdy numbers, but unless you reload, I'm not sure it'd be worth it.
OSUPITTSBURGH427
I don't, but I would like to (reload). I'm not even sure there is a kit for it but a .460 Rowland in a HK USP might be just what the Doctor ordered.
RedRocket1647545505
I've never heard of one for any HKs. It'd probably have to be a custom deal; barrel, recoil spring, compensator, etc. I seriously doubt it would be cheap. It wouldn't make a very good CCW gun either. The guns require a compensator to deal with the increased pressure (nearly 2x what .45acp is) that the round creates. Run it without a comp and the gun will tear itself apart. Mowgli1647545497
Not a fan of 1911s or anything derived off the frame. Always felt too topheavy for me. Too thin unless they were a doublestack, too heavy when they were. But that's just me. The cartridge is a winner though.
Avenger1647545502
The only kits I've seen have for full-length 1911s and Springfield XDs. A compensator and heavier spring are pretty much required. They specifically state that the cartridge is unsuitable for any Glock or Beretta. I've been sort-of considering it for my XD, but it'd pretty much render the pistol a range toy.
OSUPITTSBURGH427
I didn't know that, thanks Austin.
Bahnstoermer1647545488
I've been looking at it too. Seems like it'd be a great pistol for hunting back up The "someday" plan rattling around in the back of my mind is to convert my Kimber to .460 Rowland after I decide it's worth dropping $4000 on a Wilson Combat Professional Supergrade some day LOL. The Kimber will then be my "beater / hunting" gun...
