For some reason I could only find one of my 540. Not sure why but ill find more of it eventually. Although not the fastest or even the best looking of the bunch, it was my favorite for some reason. I really miss the m5 but my daughter was born along the time that I had that and I just couldn't justify the cost of owning that car over buying my daughter everything and anything she needed and wanted. I continue to make similar choices Except that a new Genesis Coupe costs the same (or more, depending on years/mileage) than a E39 M5. And the M5 is FAR more practical for transporting a child. When I had to do a clutch and break pads on the m5 versus spending that extra money on my daughter or saving it for her future it was time for it to go. I had the m3 and 540, then traded them in for the m5. When I bought the m5 I was told it had a warranty that had been purchased through BMW. The first time I needed it I found out quickly that it was a cheap aftermarket warranty that basically covered NOTHING. That's when I decided it was to much financial risk to keep. E39 m5s don't have very many issues but when they do it's ridiculously expensive to get worked on. I've got a ten yr 100,000 mile warranty now which makes a ton of difference not to mention I just really like the Gen coupes. I bought mine with about 8 miles on it. This,people go to much on brand these days.I love my car, everything about it. The more i do to it, the more i like it. I know alot of people on this board that have seen my car in person or rode in it like it as well. I coule of bought a vette, cobra, m3, new mustang gt, evo, sti etc.. but for the price, driveability and the fact that you dont see 20 of them everytime you go somewhere sold me on it.
