Deep Dish Chicago pizza in Columbus?

I lived my whole life in Chicago and I have tried them all here. I can tell you if you want a Giordanos type pizza you are not going to get it here. You need to go to Chicago or order one (or three) online at Giordanos website.

Those places may have great pizza, but I would have to side with the members who voted Wholly Joe's as authentic Chicago pizza. I lived in Chicago in the 1970's. Back then, no one outside Chicago really knew what Chicago-style pizza pie (we called it that) was.

Wholly Joe's has regular, extra thin, and deep dish. Deep dish is the Chicago style I remember from my Chicago days. I'd call ahead because it takes extra baking time.

The pic says it all:

I figured as much. I did look online at shipping Giordanos pizzas. That's just not for me. I wanted to go out with the wife one night and hit up some pizza.

What about Uno's? I know I said NOT Uno's earlier, but that was the only place I remember when I was younger that had pizza like that.

Sauce on top, now they're doing it right! Looks awesome, must try it sometime.
