How are you liking that fore grip? I almost went with one of those but went with a 'broom handle'/regular vertical instead and just mounted it further up on the barrel.

EDIT: how much did that eotech run you? Ive been looking into them but 500$ seems steep, or maybe im just too cheap?

I love the fore grip it's very functional and I feel like it's more accurate then a traditional vertical grip.

I searched all over AR15.com for mine and I got mine BNIB for $380 shipped. There is a used 512 on there now for $315 you could probably get for $300 shipped. There is deals all over you just have to search like crazy and jump on them immediately. Stuff doesn't last long on forums.

I don't think you can mess up using irons...might need help in your breathing and how you hold the rifle.

This x100

I've had zero training only reading, self practice, and ccw class. Anything would be useful. I am not even sure I know how to correctly hold the rifle. I can finally shoot somewhat okay with both eyes open while looking down the sights. Being left eye dominant and right handed seems difficult. I feel like I inhale gun smoke after every shot.

Here you go, it will help you get started. It is what I used... :) But I still needs plenty of practice though.

US Army > USMC (atleast this year)

Shooting is something you just need to do, not saying you can't practice fundementals and have a solid execution plan -- you just need to get out there and doooo ettttt
