Akula
My cameras suck with night vision but I did see the guy walk past. He was really far away so I can't make him out. 6 more of my neighbors got hit at the same time. I want to do some home automation and cameras but I don't want a monthly fee. Any suggestions? I have lorex equipment now, its just older and I want to upgrade.
Doc1647545523
I'm not sure if Thorne still does this type of work, but even if not, I'm sure he can make some good recommendations to you.

TTQ B4U
I'll throw in the idea of motion sensors in the yard. We have them, they work and IMO they are as priceless as cameras and alarms. Main unit is in our bedroom, sets off a doorbell sound (multiple) which can be programed different for each sensor so you know which one is tripped. I like them because we have two dogs with deep barks and they go nuts when they go off and if you're outside you definitely can hear them. Basically you'll know they know you're out there. Akula
Why not just upgrade a few of the cameras to some higher end night vision camers? (Im sorry you guys had to deal with this :( ) Cuz the DVR is small. I had intended the system to be for if someone broke in I would have a good picture of their face. Now I see I need to cover more of my property.

This. I've seen the system running and the cameras used. Very nice. Two nights ago, someone or some people, came through our block taking anyone's change etc that was left out in the open with an unlocked door on the car. We lock our autos so no probs for us but neighbors got petty shit taken. Was thinking of harassing Thorne about it myself.

thorne
nightvision can be had for cheap to be honest. If you r interested in just a place to buy some cameras I'd just securitycamerapro2000 if you would like a full dvr solution I'll blow away feature wise anything you can look at. 4CIF/23-30fps always
