Draco-REX
But how would they learn to turn right? Notice all the rights are in the infield. They'll get another chance to try it until they get it right.
Avenger1647545502
Nascar doesn't have SHIT on Gran Prix racing for killing off fans. Or rally. But the solution is easy...let's ban high-capacity engines.

Otis Nice
a tire landed high up in the stands I'm not privy to NASCRAP arenas but is 10 rows up really considered "high up in the stands"? http://jalopnik.com/insane-nascar-crash-at-daytona-ends-with-an-engine-near-398864966 Go down to Update 11 and watch the fan vid from the stands. WOW. It's crazy how fast everything happened. Hopefully everyone pulls through.

Draco-REX
Holy fuck, look at this comment: This has been going on since 2000. It's due to the restrictor plates, for the most part. Also, I'm not a casual fan, I'm a huge follower of NASCAR and I enjoy the Big One. Well sometimes I enjoy it, but the apprehension of the last few laps seeing cars getting loose and bouncing off each other is the majority of the excitement I get form plate crashes knowing that they're seconds away from possibly crashing the field. Now, it's interesting that the drivers complain of the Big One when they are primarily respsonsible for whether or not it happens. Secondly, the second Duel on Thursday was one of the most boring races I've ever watched due to being only green flag runs. I went to the 2008 Daytona 5000 and it was so bring because at one point they went almost 120 laps green flag with no cautions. No one wants to see a caution-free race because that type of racing isnt exciting If this is the typical diehard NASCAR fan, I have even less respect for the sport. Green laps are boring? If I wanted crashes to decide the winner, I'd watch demolition derby. Heavens forbid the winner be decided by skill. This guy just wants a giant grinder that chews up cars and drivers and spits out a random winner at the end. Fuck that.

I swear if NASCAR went away and they were forced to watch TRUE GOOD racing they wouldn't know what to do with themselves.. I was forced to watch the Daytona today and was BORED out of my mind.. listening to them get all excited about danica being on the high side of the track.. REALLY THIS IS WHAT GETS AMERICANS EXCITED!?? Blah.
Putty
Daytona has security that walks the fence, telling people to move back as they pass. Of course, when the cars go by, fans will still run up to the fence if the guards are not there, like this lady in blue: http://www.racerjon.com/pictures/miscshots/random/blue_shirt_lady-highlight.jpg As the cars come down you can see in the fan-video she is running up to the fence to get closer. Afterwards: http://www.racerjon.com/pictures/miscshots/random/blue_shirt_lady_2.jpg I would say there is no excuse for her behavior, and she should have known better. also http://www.gannett-cdn.com/media/USATODAY/USATODAY/2013/02/23/daytona_027-3_4_rx812_c608x810.jpg?a89b7f984a68464808b67913caf32c8a35d378cb Cameras capture everything!!
