Wease
LOL @ 4-8 inches of snow. Fuck local weather idiots, I stick with the NOAA. It's the one thing the government actually does somewhat well. They didn't get anything near that prediction...

It's the one thing the government actually does somewhat well. They didn't get anything near that prediction... Actually, most local Mets get their information directly from NOAA/NWS. The NWS originally posted maps on Saturday showing 4-8" of snow for most of the metro area and kept posting new ones with lesser and lesser amounts as the end of the storm got nearer. Chris Bradley (WBNS) originally said the NWS call of 4-8" was a bit excessive and had 1-3" for most of the area with higher amounts towards the north. Let me see if i can find some of them. First one on friday: http://i.imgur.com/VlcMDlF.png Then saturday http://i.imgur.com/ditIWbr.png Then saturday again http://i.imgur.com/5sx3MkT.png Then sunday morning http://i.imgur.com/POxTGKn.png Then sunday afternoon http://i.imgur.com/TU7XQgU.png My point is, dont shoot the messenger. Forecasting is incredible difficult and almost impossible to get right, by anyone.

Poor chris Bradley- he took an abusive beating on facebook this weekend and even bill Kelly put a jab out against "other channels building hype" All I could do is thank him for showing all the models and being honest about what he was seeing. People are real assholes.

I've just seen far better results looking at NOAA.gov for my zip code than watching the local guys on TV.

He was very correct
