1Quik7
I've had 4 tickets over the years for no front plates...2 from our old Pedophile friend S. Miller....the wife got one from him as well, hope he's had rough unconsensual anal sex in jail. Anywho, now I just toss it in the front window...haven't had any issues. Versluis
Dont run it. I have a tow hook plate mount from US Millworks when traveling on the highway long distances. They make it for VW, Audi and Porsche.
Vulcan900
They sure do... If you drive / park Downtown, they DO Ticket for No Front Plate.... especially at Meters!!! KillJoy
BBQdDude
I use a tow hook mount for mine. Reason is the local cops have a hard on for writing tickets in the small town I live in.
Fiji ST
I run a mounting bracket that a guy makes for Mustangs. It attaches under the bumper. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=197&pictureid=8589
Geeto67
On the A3, I went to the hardware store and got two small angle irons and then drilled the bumper in a place where the holes aren't noticeable if the plate were to be removed (ie facing down). Plate looks like it is floating and two screws and the thing comes right off if I need to remove it. holds up to car washes too. the wife drives the car mostly and it's lowered, tinted, and all black (though I did remove the tint from the headlights/taillights this year). She gets stopped at least once every 2 months but always let off with a warning. That car is like a cop magnet until she rolls down the window and they see a 40 year old woman driving and a baby seat in back.
Trouble Maker
Something like THIS? I run a mounting bracket that a guy makes for Mustangs. It attaches under the bumper. Is that something like this, found in Steve's link. http://www.skenedesign.com/FPBracket/index.shtml I'm liking this one. Like Getto said, some drilling but not on a place anyone can see so I'm OK with that. It's also not the horribly ugly grey cheap piece of plastic that most OEMs use. SpaceGhost
Christ the fine is $50, just pay the fine if you ever get one. It not a moving violation so INS does not go up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Doc1647545523
Companies make decals in whatever size you specify. It's still not a legal front plate in Ohio, but I've seen some highline cars around Columbus with them and they are convincing at first glance. This would solve the problems of not wanting to drill the bumper and of not wanting to obstruct the air flow. http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af208/trentrbrts/23363d1425365277-front-license-plate-texas-imag0274_zps3ruamws1.jpg Here's the first place google shopping found: http://bumperstickerlicense.homestead.com/Main.html I debated it and decided not to display a plate on the front of my new one. :fuckyeah:

If you asked me would I rather have a solid night out drinking or no front plate on my car I would tell you every time drinking (and I don't drink much anymore). ImUrOBGYN
I'm not so sure this is acceptable but it's worked for me so far. Probably depends on the laws in your area and/or on the officer if he decides to pull you over for it but this is what I use on the Vibe as it does not have any lp holes. I simply remove the little hooks and pull the ball end through the holes on the plate then attach it to my front windshield. It's more to the passenger side at the bottom so it's not in anyone's way. It's never fallen off through mutliple seasons; winters in Ohio, summers in Texas. RAV wears a front plate, Supra gets no front plate. Mr. Potato, the link to the bracket that was posted above my reply was $48.95+Shipping for a LP mount, the fine is less than the mount.... The last one I got in the short north at a meter was $45. My resolution is to not spend my money with businesses that occupy space in the short north. I have never had more than one ticket for a front plate on any one car I have owned. 0 for the slowstang so far, I was hit on 71n for an 84 in a 65 last month, dude used laser and said not 1 word about no front plate. State HW Patrol too. Could be that I'm white though. Lawyers, SMH Edited October 19, 2016 by Benjamin
iwashmycar
If I had an electric Cavalier I would probably just put it in the OE spot. Tow hook mounts do work well and are quite adjustable. Downside is I always sliced my hand while washing around it lol Last effort is to throw it under the pass floor mat and tell them you havent got it installed yet....if theyll buy it. Stretch
Attaching it to your windshield does not make it legal. Has to be mounted on the front most part of the vehicle with nothing covering it to obstruct the view of it.

Buck531
Not anymore. They denyed my plate when i put it back on the road I just got mine back in Aprilish when I got tags for the Fiero. Only sent me one. I called the DMV and they said personalized collector tags only get one. Maybe someone else has the plate/name on theirs?
