Yet another stolen bike

Posting this info for a friend without a bike, now. Please be on the lookout.

'03 Silver BMW F650 GS

between 25K and 26K miles

I'm sure they already removed the black and white "thumper" (from bambi) illustration that was on the left side and the black "thumper" lettering on the right side.

What IS unique to that bike that those creeps might not think to remove:

- Hyper lights under the break light that are set to flash like crazy when the brake/s are on.

- The 4 turn signals have orange bulbs and clear covers, instead of clear bulbs with orange covers.

I was posting in a hurry to get the info out. I've been on the forum for a while, just mostly lurk. I have worked at several motorcycle shops in central Ohio over the past few years as well as the AMA. I am also the editor of the AMA District 11 Rider News about riders in competition off road and on road. For those of you who don't know me, it's a pleasure to meet you.

Hi Jane, sorry to hear about the theft. its such a violation. Its hard not to take things like that on a personal level when it happens to yourself or a close friend.

Grove City or someplace south of Columbus. It was on a patio behind their car port, right next to the house. These crooks are just doing business, no worries about getting caught or prosecuted. Riders are the only ones who have anything to lose.

Our problem is there is always a market for "bargains", legal or illegal. That makes it even more profitable for these entrepreneurs to "find" parts and sell them at a really good price. Imagine all they save, no storefront, no sales tax, no....down side.

Hey all,

Thanks to Jayne for posting this for us. This was my girlfriends bike. Her name is Kim. I'm Wade. I tried to post to this list Friday. But it seems to take a couple of days to get your access.

The bike was stolen from her backyard in Clintonville. It was a ballsy move. The bike was just 5 feet from their back door. Took the cover and everything. We just got back from a weekend in N.C., Va, Tenn., W.V.

And this is more than just a bike theft. Kim has been through a lot of crap in the past couple of years. And this bike was really "all" she had left. And it meant more to her than anyone will ever know. She had just returned from the Dr. office with "MORE" bad news of her conditions, to pick up her bike to come over to my house for some weekend rides. Just to find it gone. Not good! Kim is only 5' tall. And it was hard to find a bike she could fit. Till we found this lowered F650.

So to the scum sucking slimballs who took it. I hope you get run over on the road by a truck from a rendering plant.
