Sunday 20/25.. Did anybody ride today?

I made a last minute decision around 1pm to take a ride down to Hocking.

Just a "touch" of Hocking, a short loop thru the area starting at 33/664 to 374 to 678 to 180 and back to 33.

It would have been more fun if I didn't keep getting stuck behind cars!

I'm not a real big fan of passing on the double yellow so it kinda slowed me up.

I shot video of the ride and will link that in here once I edit and upload the videos to youtube.

Group shot at the Rock Mill covered bridge.

Water below the mill looked a bit chilly.

Friends GS1200 on the door run road behind the prison near Nelsonville did a nice spin when he hit some mud and the rear slid into a rut. He made the save though.:D

I jumped off that rock a few times when I was younger and dumber. that water is cold in the middle of summer. There is an underground river that feeds it 40 feet below. Great swimmin hole in the heat of summer tho.

I was down that area today too, same roads and same experience...the riding was great but the fucking grandma drivers were maddening. I got frustrated and passed a few...but I swear some were going >20 so passing was almost instantaneous.

BTW, the Rock Mill covered bridge was used in the 1985 movie "Mischief", in case anyone wasn't aware of that...I have two friends who were extras in it (including Licking Co. judge David Branstool). That movie was Kelly Preston's first nude role, so well worth checking out.

Here are two videos from my ride thru some of Hocking yesterday,

first one is Route 374 to 678 and second is 678 to 180.

I made a single pass during the first video, got a split second opportunity

without a double line and took it, around the 3minute mark.
