jagr
Most of Akira Kurosawas films are amazing. Yojimbo, Hidden Fortress, Ran, seven Samauri, Rashamon and Kagemusha. I know the Cbus librarys have all of these. I have a few of them. You will see alot of thing that George Lucas uses in the Star Wars films. I believe a few of the above titles that I have include an intro by George Lucas himself. Akira Kurosawa was a huge influence in his works. jblosser
The Conversation, 1974. Gene Hackman's in it, which <almost always> guarantees a good movie. Well, unless it's some John Grisham crap that shouldn't even be a book, let alone a movie, but I digress....On a different note, one of the worst movies I've seen is Rasing Cain, starring John Lithgow, Lolita Davidovich, and directed by Brian DePalma. Should be good, right? WRONG. Stay away, even in the 2 for $1 section at the Family Video it's a waste of fiddy cent.
JaysonL
MementoThe Prestigegrandma's boySuper Troopers (love the maple syrup chugging scene)^ ALL of these get a . Although "Clockwork Orange" is one weird-ass movie (if you don't know what it's about or you've never read the book, try to find a trailer or a quick summary to give you a little bit of an idea about it).I would personally add:Lords Of Dogtown (Amazing surf/skate movie)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0K6lUm5ynwPrincess Mononoke (In my opinion one of the greatest anime films ever)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkWWWKKA8jYVanilla Sky (That might be a little too well known for the list, but, oh well)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHtF8PADoN0City of God (A Brazillian masterpiece about the slums of Rio De Janeiro) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioUE_5wpg_E
