Northeast group ride 7-31-10

I have never been on a group ride before, but I am planning on doing this route on sunday. I loaded into my tomtom and plan on leaving from medina around 10am. I have never used my tomtom on my bike or loaded a itenerary into it before. I expect to get lost, but that is half the fun I guess.

If anybody wants to leave that late I would love to ride with another person.

I work nights and usually get up around 1pm. 10am is super early for me. 8am is just out of the question.

Just got back in. Way beyond my skill level. Tomorrow I will go out and practice going into turns with the RPM's at the half-way point or greater. I was so far back from the main group that I did not get any vomit on my face-shield. Now I can say I've been on 255 as well as 260, which had a few deceptive turns and some gravel. A few drops of rain never really hurt anyone.

Home safe, 459 miles, 11 hours 8 minutes. I had a great day and will reply more after I eat.

Don't forget to lube those chains.

The first time I rode with UP I felt the same way but riding with him and listening to his advice helped me a lot .just keep riding more speed will come

Made it home. Good meeting everyone...or seeing you again. Justin, I'm surprised you made it back!! That tire was shot! Happened quick too.

Lenko..no worries..that bike is too beautiful to hit the ground like that. You gotta run it into a tree or something to make it a legit accident!

UP, thanks for the ride. Best ride I've ever been on as far as road selection and fun factor. Now off to the showers and to work. :(

Yea, Punk honked at me as he drove by and saw me working in the garage... I had the girl out there helping me pull the tire off as soon as I got home. It had rubber all the way around when I started the day, and there was chord 90% of the way around the tire, about an inch wide when I got home.

You guys were testing me.

Sucks you have to go into work. Hopefully the ride was a de-stressor.

Red 4 reporting in. Tires showing chord are speed rated to triple digits - thanks for looking out for me on the ride fellas.

Tod said leave that mf'er! I said NO! Justin's a friend! LOL

Again..I can't say enough about 260. FRESH PAVEMENT Y'ALL!!!! Northern half was a lil bumpy...but still worth it.

Thanks again Tod. Best. Ride. Eva.
