scottb
I have a 4000 watt welder generator for sale. It is over your budget (asking $600) and also has a welder built in, so might not be exactly what you want. HOwever, you cant find anything, please consider mine. It is a Lincoln Electric Powerarc 4000, powered by a 8.5 Briggs and Stratton engine. There are pics in one of my other threads.

buildit
It amazes me how prices have come down on generators. I was at HD the other week and saw a 6500 watt for only $700 or so. I think I paid over $1100 9 years ago for a 7500watt unit.
