I knew it was a stereotype, but I thought it was a joke until I saw a news story about a black family having a picnic by a river. 1 of the kids went in too deep, and his 7 brothers and sisters all died trying to save him. Not kidding.

The news was interviewing friends of the family, and one of them said that swimming is "something white people do."

I have gotten some rep out of it. I use to life guard and this was 99% true. There were a few black people on my swim team that could kill my best times. Kenya might beet our ass in the 100 yard dash but we have them in the 100 meter freestyle
