MidgetTodd
None. No reason to Turbo a 600. Get a bigger bike.

e-flores
thats why they make 1000, 1300, and 1400cc bikes.... they have a chassis to fit the power and the transmission is made to handle the power. you have no risk of blowing a motor and its cheaper to buy a 1000 than to put a turbo on a 600. there are no advantages to a turbo 600. JStump
Waste of money buy a bigger bike 1k+Liter bikes from what I have seen on CL, are typically only a grand or 2 more than their 600cc counterpart of the same year. Not worth the headache and frustration of trying to cram a snail inside your frame then dealing with the problems typically associated with turbos on originally NA engines.

Rctaylor
A literbike would have more power, be more reliable and probably end up being much lighter weight. You should still take it to DTM for a tune though.
magley64
here you go...buy 1000cc counterpart, put 600 decals/plastics on it, and this...http://www.faketurbo.com/tell everyone how much time and money you spent turboing...

oldschoolsdime92
Gsxr- take to Brian for tuning. Could be a fun little bike. Certainly different. Of course if hes wanting to do it, because.he.thinks.its.cheaper than buying a 1000, then he should quit while he's ahead.
joshfz.2008
I agree with it probly being cheaper and more efficient to just buy a bigger bike. But I do know if you search on youtube there are a couple turbo R6's, and some GSXR's.
gixxer_joe08
Do they even make a turbo kit for 600cc bikes? I know they do for the busa and zx-14. If they dont then you would have so many headaches and trial and errors forming your piping and finding a small intercooler plus making everything fit. Good luck to each his own

magley64
to be blunt, all of the 600's from the big 4 are going to be bulletproof for their designed purpose...i'd suggest going for the cheapest that he can find in bulk, the learning curve might get a little steep, and pricey. imprez55
There is a guy over on .net looking to twin turbo a 600rr. I think its silly to twin turbo it, its also got to be a fun project regardless. There were a lot of people initially ragging on him saying "its not the right bike", "get a 1000cc", "its not possible" etc... Its very possible to run low boost on any 600cc engine, higher and you will need to get new internals. There was a video posted up not too long ago about an older bike running high boost, so maybe that would be wiser for your friend to pursue? For now I will just leave some links here that I posted up on .net as well:turbo gsxr 600: http://www.gixxer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=187973video: dynojet's turbo 600rr: http://www.600rr.net/vb/showthread.php?t=147094and the previous link in the thread: http://www.600rr.net/vb/showthread.php?t=74039&page=7And here are some factory turbo motorcycles (two 650's and a 500):http://www.turbomotorcycles.org/TMIO...a_CX650Td.htmlhttp://www.turbomotorcycles.org/TMIO...a_CX500Tc.htmlhttp://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/ep...rbo_small.aspx
TheBrown57
My friend is very ambitious but is very knowledgeable with welding, engines, ect. Hell he even thought about getting a 600 and making it run on hydrogen.
