Stunt Bike Build RIP ADAM

Hey guys So to tell a short story about why my buddy Brennon and I are building this bike is from a buddy that has recently been killed on this bike. About a month ago me and my buddy jason got a phone call that my other friend Adams ( His bike is the one we are building) bike was laying on Hamilton road, close to broad by the McDonalds. Me and jason hop on our bikes and rush down there. We run into an officer and since jason is an emt he got some information out of the police officer, which we found out he was taken to Grant Hospital. Long story short we find out he is unconscious and showing no brain activity, and basically told it was very likely he wouldn't make it 24 hours. Sure enough the next day he was pronounced brain dead and put on life support until additional family was able to come see him before they take him off of it.

Adam was a great kid very fun to be around and always happy. He was originally a bmxer when he was child, so he has always loved bikes. We are building this bike in memory of Adam, he didn't have a lot and this bike was his prized possession which he road to work every day rain or shine. All he cared about was learning to stunt and being the best he could and pushing himself more and more.

As soon as we took the back Wheel off, we wanted to see how much damage was done internally. Even though the stater cap was cracked and all the oil was drained we built a ghetto duct tape cover that would hold the oil in for a brief few minutes while we tried to start the bike. We fill the bike with oil and try to start it..... nothing. We figure the battery is dead so we charge it. we go to try and start it and nothing, i am not even hearing the fuel pump at this point. We both look into it a bit more and found out the fuel cut switch was damaged internally so we strip the wires and hard wire them together. Now we turn the key, here the fuel pump. We turn on and off the key to prime the fuel pump. The bike starts right up and runs perfect.

Thanks scruit its all been really hard for us, but we really arn't too sure what happened, he lost control some how and hit a tree and a pole. He just got off work and was on his way to one of our friends house to actually go to a parking lot to practice stunting.

That would be a great idea but in his obituaries they have a memorial fund for their family that anyone can donate too, and his very close friend brennon is the one who bought the bike wrecked and we are rebuilding it and keeping it as a stunt bike, one of those things he wants something memorable from Adam.
