Just got my first dog since I moved out in 09 from my parents. Her name is Mary and she is a 2 year old Rott/Lab (I think) mix. Got her from the Warren county human society today after work. She is so smart and is amazingly self sufficient as far as play time, you can throw her toy and she will play with it on her own throwing it up and catching then eventually bring it over and drop it near you to throw again. Took her on a walk shortly after getting home and shes done for the day. Now just dealing with some nasty dog farts

Did you ask what food they were feeding her? Mix the new food you will feed with the cheapest shit you can find at Wally WOrld, and that will settle her stomach. Please don't just switch to good food, because that hurts her tummy. You need to mix it with cheap stuff like the place you got it gets. Trust me.

That is awesome, she looks gorgeous and super happy! Much props to rescuing, breeders are fucking stupid, sorry to all the purebred people, but that's just stupid this day and age.

Bought a small bag of pedigree that she seems to enjoy, forgot to ask what they fed her at the shelter and will call em today to find out. Best park is she doesn't bark much at all, only heard her do it twice and even then she barks 2 times for attention then when you look at her she just smiles and starts waggin

great looking pup...

before you buy a bunch of shit dog food, look at the ingredients in it.

my wife and I foster dogs , along with 2 of our own. our dogs are in better health, have better breath and poop smaller since we started feeding them raw, thats right, raw chicken. (the bones are only harmful AFTER cooking) dogs have been around a long fuckin time, before all the shitty food was ever manufactured. they do not get sick from this, they love it and so does their doggie internal systems.

glad to hear she was rescued!

Beautiful pup! My German shorthair is the same way with food it took forever finding a food for her that she did well with and my wife and I were finding that she was having a problems with the treats we were giving her for training as well. So just another thing to look after too. Enjoy the new member of the family!

Congrats on the poochie.

I'd suggest Diamond dog foods (I get it at TSC or off Amazon Prime), if you're going for best bang for buck. It's very reasonable, cost wise, but a much better food nutritionally than a lot of stuff out there. My lab is finicky and doesn't do well with some foods, but the Diamond stuff he thrives on.
