I had to order a Springfield M1A Scout Squad model today in evil black but it's what I've been wanting for a long time....better to get it now before they're no longer available.

They couldn't give me an answer on the back order timeline but I got it at Shooterz-N-Shooterz in Uniontown.

Rifles? Lower receivers? 80% lower receivers?

I cruised news on the main 4 manufacturers of lower receivers today.

They can't even get raw material to make more. Not yet. It's gone.

The supply of raw material is even back ordered for them.

That's how bad the demand is, and how far the back orders go.

Rifles were selling at a rate over 120 times normal.

Basically something like a 6 month supply gone in 36 hours.

edit: The only good news I can see is that manufacturers are taking orders and taking your money now. Small shops appear to be getting nervous about getting stuck with stock they might not be allowed to sell. They can't see one year down the road, and stopped taking orders. Yeah, some are saying it will be a year.

cheaperthandirt will try to get back on line with firearms sales on Tuesday Jan8.

With whatever they can put up on line for stock.

Firearm sales will resume on a limited basis beginning Tuesday, January 8, based on available inventory. The selection will increase as more firearms become available. Specifically, firearms that are in high demand are not currently available from manufacturers due to the lack of inventory. This includes most modern sporting rifles.
