AKIRA
I have been riding sport bikes for a long time but I just got back from a deployment and was feeling like cruising. And I have always liked v-twins and the HD crowd

hue jass
You cannot live in the Mt. Vernon area and not see about a million HD riders. You should be OK. Just post pics of whatever you get!

Ron505
I am thinking about switching over to the HD world but have been wondering if there are many other HD riders out there? I live in the Mt Vernon area. Why HD? There are better handling, running, and more dependable bikes on the market that are fine looking cruisers. Have you already swallowed the koolaid that's in your mouth?I have a honda shadow and also looking to upgrading this spring...Upgrading to what? Is any HD an upgrade?Sorry guys, no offense to anyone that has owned or does own one, but I drank the koolaid a long time ago and learned my lesson. You should honestly look around at what you can get for the money that you would spend on an HD. Then again, there are a couple of models that I would like to have. I just think that you should shop cruisers if you are wanting to move in that direction, don't limit yourself to a certain brand. AKIRA
Very funny. Yes they are popular but that is not the only reason I want one. Damn did not realize there were so many haters
Limenine9r
Several sportbike friends who dispise Harley's while owning (4) sportbikes, several Harley friends who own multiple HDs, and dispise sportbikes... I like to mix it up, sportbike for adrenaline rush and Phatail for poker runs and cruising - putt puttin around .... The Phatail gets more compliments and attention than any of my sportbikes ever have, but the sportbike is pure fun, adrenaline.

Limenine9r
It's not hatin in real life - dude you're on a Harley and WHAM you're in, like your famous or sumpin? I don't get it either, but the public LOVES Harley's - you might regret owning the Harley because ya won't get adrenaline rush from it, but it's just a different kinda ride
Helmutt
Very funny. Yes they are popular but that is not the only reason I want one. Damn did not realize there were so many hatersI dont hate on HD's, just a lot of their owner's can act like absolute anus'.There's HD fans, and there's HD fanatics. If you're a fan, you appreciate the bikes for what they do within your lifestyle.....if you're a fanatic, the bike BECOMES your lifestyle. Do or die types don't impress me, and have given me shit on occasion about my choices in a bike. I'd always check every pocket and could never find 1 fuck to give about their closed minded opinion. I ride a jap sport because it does what I ask of it, and I love the experience - HD can do the same, but to me they are simply selling a product based on it's heritage at a huge margin over metric versions of equal quality. This is simply my opinion, nothing more and no personal hate intended.Get the bike you want, and enjoy it.....just dont 'love it, live it, or leave it' like so many seem to do. It's not just for Americans or a war between countries, it's a brotherhood for all to share and be part of together.
