  1. Past hour
  2. Oh, and no matter what they say, the wireless Internet does not work at sea. It's always broke I was told. And it was a very calm ride. Honestly we probably didn't need to tie the bikes down.
  3. I am assuming you are doing the North Sydney to Aux Port Basque run. Try and get the midnight to 7 am ferry and get a cabin and sleep. If you don't you end up spending the night before nearby, ride the noon to 6 pm and basically drive to another hotel. The night run seems to sell out pretty far in advance so plan ahead. If you are doing North Sydney to St Johns that is 16 hours, so you damn well better get a cabin. We had to take the noon run. Still got a cabin. Well worth it, you can get away from everyone and have at sea sex. Food and whatnot is actually pretty good. There is a bar too. You will be tempted to get there early. Don't bother. Loading won't start until 90 minutes before departure. They want you there 2 hours ahead, so 2 hours and 1 minute is more than enough. Lots of people came well after the 2 hour warning. All in all, it was a very enjoyable time except tying down the bike. Their straps blew dead goats. The ratchets were corroded with salt and you had to fight them. Plus I had to do it twice, old French dude in front of me had no idea what he was doing. There are moose everywhere you look.
  4. If you’re interested in a Givi Maxius 56 ltr topcase, I still have one I used on my vstrom. Mark didn’t want any of the cases when he bought the Strom a few years ago. It’s in great condition. $150 (includes mounting brackets for a 2012 vstrom) If you’re interested, I’ll look for photos (it’s currently stored in my garage attic ) Edit: found a photo
  5. Today
  6. Interested to know your thoughts on the actually fairy ride itself...Supposed to take that exact fairy in September for a Moose hunt in Newfoundland.
  7. Just got tires mounted on the new MT09. Decided to try the new Bridgestone T33 due to their lofty claims. I am seriously impressed with the handling and power delivery. The front suspension is fantastic, and it pulls out of corners like a freight train. I added a Puig Touring Screen and a T-Rex center stand. I'm considering adding a top box, but if I do it would be hard to justify keeping the BMW R1200R and after riding it for 40k I have little interest in parting with it.
  8. This one you could get cheap already has an LS in it. @ 39:48
  9. Yesterday
  10. Ferry ride is done. Parked nearby at our hotel. Canada is weird. Newfoundland has a 30 minute time zone offset. As usual, cagers in the way getting off the ferry.
  11. Last week
  12. Lot of Harleys at the hotel tonight.
  13. Foggy, very cool and damp slab ride to northern NS. We are parked for the night right next to where we grab the ferry in the morning. Wife was very uncool and would not let me repel off the 12th floor of yesterdays hotel.
  14. Rode it on my 1st "fun" ride of the season around the Hocking Hills. Im out of shape for riding and I forgot to take ibuprofen at lunch... I'm pretty sore now. 🤭
  15. I was taking that route when you were still riding a Kawasaki. I have the written warnings to prove it. 😆 Side note: NHSP are very polite.
  16. N2 is running a Track Day at Mid-Ohio the Monday after the MotoAmerica races on 8/18/25. If you're going to be at MotoAmerica at Mid-Ohio, might as well bring your bike and camp out and ride the Monday after! Wouldn't be surprised if some of the MA riders ride with us that day as well. If there is enough interest I can create a coupon code for OR to save some $$.
  17. Shaved prime rib on a Yorkshire puff.
  18. A day later and 50 miles into Canada ran across this guy again. He is off to do the Cabot trail. It's a sign Paul, you need to buy it back.
  19. Casino in Bangor, then Stephen King's House, and the standpipe that inspired It. He wrote much of it in the park there.
  20. You will want 9 and 7 across VT and NH.
  21. Isaac lives in Dover. Now I have two reasons to make a trip out there this summer.
  22. Dover NH tonight. Dinner at Newiks Lobster House. If I am within a few hundred miles of this place I stop. It will be the best lobster you have ever had. Yes, it all comes on paper plates with plastic utensils. Deal.
  23. Stopped at a light in Concord NH. Cop pulls up beside me and looks over. I tapped like hell on the top of my helmet. He lost it.
  24. Nice ride through the mountains so far on 7. Bizarre store at the Vermont border.
