Well my boy came home from school today and had 3 Indian arrowheads with the story that they had a speaker today that brought some in and showed his class and talked about local native americans. And when he went out for resess he found these 3 on the hill side by the school. Ok i knew it was a bs story to begin with but also these 3 he had were all polished and very clean. After i bit of clever conversation on my behalf i got him to admit that he stole them out of a container the guy passed around for everyone to look at. Our plan is to get this guys contact info from the school and make my son return them to him personally with a apology, plus as i type he is in the kitchen writing out a written apology as well, in addition he is loosing his allowance and cant not play with any or his video games, computer or favorite toys for 2 weeks. Plus i had a good long talk to him about stealing and what happens to thieves, and ask if he would want someone to steal his stuff. Do you guys think my punishment is enough, what else cant i do? He is only 9 but i want to nip this shit in the bud right now. Two of the things i cant stand the most is a liar and thief, and i want my son to know this type of behavior is not going to fly. Thoughts?2 points

I have mine hooked to my horn button. I pull in, hit the horn and the wife pushes the garage door button in the house for me. If she is with me it is automatic, she just hops off and opens it.2 points

I wrote this article about a guy who did a track day for the first time when he was in his late 50s. Now he's 74 and doing about 10 track days a year. So be forewarned: It can be addictive.1 point

Call me skeptical, I'm not sure I believe someone with an education along with the experience it takes to earn his rank would make such a tactical mistake as the OP did by coming here to throw shit without having a better lay of the land. At minimum he should have expected some shit to be flung back in his direction. His original behavior is below an E-6 let alone an O-6. I still don't get what he is trying to achieve here and if he is here in earnest suggest he stay away from the original flame war until he has earned enough trust that his contributions are of sufficient content to suggest he be taken seriously. Not that being serious here is the goal. Having military experience doesn't shield you from being an asshole, much like being a faster rider doesn't shield you from being an asshole. You don't get to slide around here just because you have achieved something in one aspect of your life. Being in the military has been part many people’s life experiences here but it doesn't make their participation here more valuable. Having raced or being a fast rider does not make your participation here more valuable. Your experiences offer you the chance to positively contribute but they do not give you the high ground on valuable content. We talk about many subjects here and have people with experience in some capacity of those subjects that offer the rest of us knowledge or insight that makes us better informed people. Or some such shit.1 point

Every veterans day I buy lunch for every team member who is a veteran. Some years that's 0 or 1, some years it's 3 or 4. I do it every year, not one of them *expects* it though. If anyone was to give me crap for NOT doing it one year because I'm short on money or because they're not on my team, then I'd tell them to kiss my hiney. Military service does not entitle you to a lifetime of freebies and handouts. If some companies give a military discount then great. If they don't don't call them out.1 point

All I can say is this resonates to me like Obama saying his Gun related Executive Orders was "for the kids"1 point

Thanks, I did admit in my edit that I learned. It was an ass-whoopin, but I've taken beatings. Public sentiment came out, I learned, I'm now attempting to put out the information correctly. My "crying-like-a-4-year-old" was for the troops.1 point

It should. The overwhelming response on my other post was that I should not point out who does not; but who does. This meets everyone's request.1 point
