  1. This is a big part of the problem. Don't assume because you can't trust yourself worth a gun that what you think you might do on a situation is what I would do. I've never had to pull my gun on someone outside the line of duty. Never pulled itself out because I was pissed off. I have no intentions of killing someone. I will not be the primary aggressor. My intentions are to neutralize the threat. If they die, that was their choice. I only want to make sure they are no longer a threat. My guns are used for fun like target practice and to protect me and my loved ones against someone that may wish us harm. It is better I face someone with a gun with my own to even the odds. Why would I want to chance my daughter's life going up against a criminal with a gun and all I have is a bat, or my elbows. More than 21 ft, fact, and someone can pull a gun and fire on you before you can run up and punch or stab them. You are confusing accuracy with intent to kill. I practice with the intent to not hit anyone that might be innocent. To quickly end a threat to myself or other innocents. You are a moron of the highest degree.

  3. Ride with Me, Hutch and Chris on 129 and you'll have about the same experience as a track day. I love track days and do them every chance I get too but you are shorting yourself by skipping this trip for a track day. I understand your reasons and trying to better your skills after your mishap but its also all in the group you ride with. I watched your crash video and some of the other vids and the lines were all fucked up to begin with. That was part of the problem. Find a better group to ride with and follow their lines. You'll get that on the Gap with us. I would skip a free track day to pay for this trip no lie. You are cheating yourself.

  5. Please explain trap and skeet shooting? A sport created so that people could shoot at clay birds and not have to use real birds. Guys spend more money on a gun that they will exclusively shoot at clay targets than some people spend on a house. Yet a lot of the trap and skeet guys never have shot a living thing in their life. Have you ever had a knife pulled on you? I have, now you may choose to use your mad ninja badass skills to fight the knife wielding asshole but you are most likely going to get cut badly even if you can beat their ass. Me I choose to point my gun at the asshole and tell him to drop the knife. No one got injured and I arrested the jackass. Now you for some reason think that makes me less courageous because I didn't pull out my knife and go toe to toe with him. In reality I'm smart enough to know that I'm not going to be able to kick everyones ass and even if I could the risk of blood borne pathogens is too great to risk it. If you've ever been in a real fight you know its bloody. I'd rather not bring some meth heads diseases home to my family. I've taken 186 lbs. of pot from and arrested 8 armed drug runners with one other person being my only backup within 2 hrs. I'd like to see you accomplish that without a gun. So Mr.courage whose afraid to go outside because he may get hit with one of my stray bullets please explain to me how that makes me a pussy for not facing the world without a gun. Please tell me how you have any clue about what you are talking about because right now it's pretty apparent you are talking out of your ass.

  7. Hello there!! I'm new to this so bare with me. I'm really like America Offline, I'm not on Facebook or any other social networks for that matter. I really enjoyed the Epic ride Saturday and everyone I met, had a great time and looking forward to the next ride. I'm 40 y.o., married with two wonderful children, 10 month lil girl and a 4 y.o. lil boy. They are a great joy in my life, besides my bikes...lol. I'm a professional firefighter/Paramedic with local 333 for the past 15 yrs and I also work part time in the ER as a registered nurse....trauma junkie I guess...lol...just really enjoy helping people who really need help. I currently ride a 2010 CBR1000 RR & 99' Fatboy.....I've had a total of 13 bikes so far in my life time, pretty much enjoy anything with two wheels and long beautiful legs.....lol....I'm looking forward to riding with you all again soon.

  8. Looking good Keith, planning on taking it to the BuRP ride this year? I'd love to do one more trip to the mountains but just getting too old to go that far anymore. Still riding locally every day I can. Have fun with the Gixxer whereever you go> Jack

  14. To get more comfortable handling corners, you may want to pick up a copy of Keith Code's Twist of the Wrist 2. It is a good book that teaches the proper techniques for motorcycle cornering. I found it to be a useful resource. The movie version of the book has been posted to YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVWNinsmkAw As far as the ram-mounts, the are very popular and effective. I love mine.

  16. It was nice to say hey and hangout with everyone over the weekend since not seeing anyone since last year. Glad I was able to help anyone I could and get them going with anything I could. I definitely miss not racing, but even if I could...I just wouldn't be able to physically anyways at the moment. I can also say from helping Todd for most of Sunday, they really do work hard for us. It was a whole new world to see how things go on and are run from the admin perspective vs a rider/racers point of view. I know a lot of people probably got frustrated at the late grid postings and results, but I assure you they were doing everything possible upstairs to keep it moving as fast as they could given the computer problems and many people having dead or NO transponders! I have the utmost respect for all the staff that help us enjoy the racing that we love. I'm going to try and take off work for the other rounds and come out to help him however I can.

  19. The only real way to attract riders to ride with you on here is to try to start a riding club. Make a new post with something like "I'm trying to start a club" as the sub line. Vests, patches, secret handshakes, all that stuff. Honestly. I wouldn't steer you wrong.

  24. I am not a schedule kind of guy, proof was the nice long break I gave everybody at a school parking lot "pretty sure they appreciated it". There were porta-pots and it gave a smoke break, snack break and an ass break for everybody. I also think it is important to allow everybody some time to mingle and get to know eachother off the bike. Expect the unexpected in group rides, you just only hope that the unexpected is a good thing. When I take long trips it is of the up most importance, that who I go with or who goes with me is very like minded and likes to wing it and roll with it as far as schedules go and places to go. I am in for the total experience on a trip, so I will stop when I need to stop and I will stop when I see something interesting to see or do. At my Laborday rally we typically have 3 groups of up to 10 heading out, now granted we usually run a different route per group, or stagger the leaving time by about 10 to 15 minutes on the same route. I will make a tentative timeline for when dinner will be, and groups are free to roll in before or after that. If the group wants to stop for lunch we will stop for lunch, otherwise snacks and fluids are a good thing to pack. Anyways.....with this large of a group I think we did pretty darn good all things considered, and we can learn from each gathering and make adjustments as needed or as experienced. Wish I could've hung out with everybody afterwards that camped, I am sure that was a good time.

  27. Decided to be nice to the woman and clean up her bike for her. Well it took me a whole 20 min to wash, dry, check fluids and tires, lube chain on the Vee. 3hrs later I was finally done doing all the same to her Vstar plus, polish chrome, treat the leather bags, check gear oil (damn shaft drive) ect. I'd share a picture of my accompliment but it was dark by the time I was done she sure is purty though:nono:. If I ever hint about buying somthing for myself that has leather and andl chrome someone please smack the shit out of me..... Okay rant over carry on Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

  31. I have shot hundreds of guns, firing 10's of thousands of rounds, over 2+ decades... I've never hunted with them; I've never killed a person with them. Please tell me how my guns have only been used for killing. Thanks.
