to hate someone like magley's OR persona is silly and non-productive. he is to be pitied and chuckled at. having ridden/hanging out with him through OR back when he was just funny, a bit witty, cooky (with his crazy vehicle/invention ideas), and back then, the most off putting thing about him was a light case of arrogant atheist without the brains to back it up. at some point, though, something changed and he adopted some bastardized form of libertarian ideals (sans actual liberty) and decided to go all WBC on chris kyle. he said lots of things about soldiers that he knew to be completely fucked up and when called out on it, didn't have the cajones to confirm his feelings on the matter with family member(s) who are actively serving the country. he couldn't elbow his way out of that one, unfortunately. pitiful. his greatest contribution to this site now is the amusement provided from reading the prattling of a misguided halfwit.4 points

I'd hardly consider my reaction "giddy"... but to answer the question... I've gotten repped by several members here regarding several different topics. Many people were "put off" by some of my comments in gun threads, including some I consider good friends. (even to this day) There are a few I believe honestly hate me (which is weird for someone you've only interacted with on a message board). here is a sample, I've removed the names and some details so the few that really have a hard on for me won't be able to take it out on those I still consider friends.3 points

Thanks for the approval. I like anything with a motor, from cars, trucks, bikes, to tractors. I'm mainly into Kustom Kulture.. which is a new word to describe people who are into hot rods and bikes that're built like they were in the 50's and 60's using old style hot rod parts (usually pre '62) and the art work, people like Big Daddy Roth/Von Dutch and the music like rockabilly and psychobilly. There are some pretty big events in other cities, but in Columbus I think there are about 3 people here I've met into it. If anyone else here is into that, please say hello. As far as racing, my stuff now is built for cruising and a few burnouts for fun. I grew up near National Trails so I spent some time there over the years with my bike and a few cars. I also like Marion County Raceway because of the friendlyness of everyone, but the track is bumpy as hell. And of course I've seen some awesome street races.. and lost a few. ha. Right now we've got a bunch of bikes, an '86 Vette, '62 chrysler 300, '62Chrysler Newport, '68 300, my truck that brings all this junk home when I buy it and some boring cars. A few pics:2 points

Magz is a good guy if you get to know him instead of judging him from some threads. There sure are a lot of forum members that have had no problem showing up at his birthday bashes to drink and eat for free. Disagreeing with his posts are one thing but when you have to flex your internet muscles and bash him for no reason it's getting a little childish and fucking pathetic. While you are on here bashing him he is out racking up miles on his bike maybe some of you should do the same. Magz I'll hang out with you anytime the hell with the haters.2 points

It's been fairly quiet troll wise and then here you come to shake the short bus and wake up all the 'tards. You will get no rep from me on this thread.2 points

I have no bug up my ass about police like many here seem to, of course I have never been in a situation to make me feel otherwise. How am I being a pussy by trying to work with police "I have nothing to hide", and we for sure do not know everything about how this all went down. Just because the charges were dropped, doesn't necessarily mean the OC guy was right in how he handled this, the same also goes for the police. When respect is shown it is usually shown back, I just see this scenario as not being a big deal as far as complying with the officers request. Carrying a firearm is a huge responsibility, especially when it is out in the open for everyone to see. And the CHL saved his ass from a felony due to carrying a locked and loaded pistol in a motor vehicle, which I believe was one of the main reasons as to why they wanted to see his ID and to know how he arrived at the gas station.2 points

Google any brand + "malfunctions" and you will have pages of interwebz lore. After thousands of rounds through my Glocks, I have never had a single Malfunction. Not a single one ever. To me... My G19 is reliable. I don't need my gun to win any arguments on ORDN, nor do I care what others carry or shoot.2 points

Hopefully our trip down there serves as sort of booster and prologue for the rest of the ohio riders. If at all there was any chance i would have taken the vacation in june when weather was so much better. I could only take it this early may, with chance of freaking rain every where. And thx to all my friends who took theirs along with mine to give me company and sacrifice some good riding days. As i way mentioning the past week I used up my last vacation days for this trip. I know may is way too early to risk for a gap trip with chance of rain any time. But this was the last of the opportunity for me to do this as i dont have the privilege to get more off days later on. Our plan was to ride all the way down from NE Ohio to the gap and back. We were planning on hitting WV roads on the way down and then take Kentucky roads back up. Total of 6 days planned. Got the bike prepped up with fresh rubber and fluids. The weather prediction looked excellent ……….. until the night before we were about to leave. And as expected of any great dreamy plans, here comes the biggest cloud I ever saw on radar. Yes it rained for the entire 6 days with one day of break in between. In between the rain it would shine for a few which kept our spirits high. We rode as much as the damp conditions would allow us. We pushed the corners at safe speed even though the twisty nature was far more inviting and seductive to the throttle hand. By the fifth day our heart sank because of the rain. All 5 of us had took the rare and much needed vacation to relax and enjoy and ended up getting this. Frustration kicked in and we slabbed all the way back home for 11 hours, 5 hours of which was in rain. Imagine that. But, but one day we got. One warm sunny day we got at the deals gap. That day we went berserk like prisoners on parole. We rode our hearts out, burned our rubbers and spend every inch of energy, soul and spirit to enjoy the trip. Now our muscles are sore, nerves stretched and joints ache. But in the depth of sorrow from a rained and ruined vacation there still lies this glimmer of wicked smile and happiness thinking about the fun we had, the mischief me and bike did together. This will be my first gap trip and best gap trip in spite of all the negatives, just because of all the varied experiences we endured together. But also that one day of pure riding came is as a blessing for the 5 stranded riders in riding paradise. Well enough with the writing, As i mentioned most days we walked into the hotel or cabin soaking drenched and hanging up our gear to dry for the next day. Didnt get the oppurtunity to take the camera out for pics or shoooting video much. But I put together some pics i got to make up abreif story of what we went through. Bike getting prepped for the journey. On highway 16 WV, All geared up, waiting for the next wave of rain to hit us. by second day night arrived at the cabin Throw our gear around and hit the bed hoping for a better tomorrow Next day morning on way to breakfast finally at he famous footsteps Pretty sure he will be waiting for us even in this weather All damp roads Finally sun shine Beautiful roads Back at the gap ogling at other pretty ones. still very loyal to vfr The cousins Headed to Cherohala skyway. Short break in between She sure likes to play dirty. Look at the smiles, day seems to get better and better. He looks happy Words cant describe how beautiful this place really is Might as well get a group pic while the sun is still shining Back in robinsville by sundown Much needed break for both the bikes and us. Good place to munch down sleeping under their night light after heavt duty work day View from deck of cabin, never got to see such clear sky and peaceful night in a long time time for us to get some sleep as well, the next day we head back home... of course under rain . Hope you guys enjoyed the brief ride report. Will update a bit more with pics and write up later.1 point

If you are a part timer or a newb and didnt log on over the past winter, shut up and sit down. That fucker took it upon himself to attempt to piss off every one of the regulars that he could over winter. And by being a complete dick, he was pretty successful. If you weren't here for the douchebaggery, then you don't know what you are talking about. If you want to think I'm an asshole, go ahead. If you are going to continue talking out your ass, I will continue to be an asshole. With all due respect and shit.1 point

I dont hate anyone here, and typically don't really disagree with anyone here either.....at least openly. If there's polar opposite opinions to my own, so be it.....I refuse to force feed my side on much of anything unless I have a vast knowledge of what's under discussion. People will have personal opinions, just the nature of the species. I also dont bandwagon with others against the likes of Magz or Exarch. ( except Ringo, fistfuck that fucking fuck of a toad in his fucktarded shitpipe of a mouth - that doucher is an entirely different animal ) They'll say whatever they perceive is right to them, so if it doesn't coincide with my outlook then it's no big deal to me.....some achieve enlightenment, some dont and continue the push towards self righteousness......doesn't spoil my feelings about this place since it's a tough task to offend me on most any subject anyway......these guys are generally harmless since they've not infractioned-out. It seems that a poor chosen few just get a ten ton cockwhipping over being themselves around here at times, and it makes no sense to me for the e-beatings unless there's underlying circumstances I know nothing of. I do know some folks can really strike nerves on a regular basis, but it doesn't appear to be intentional considering the explanations in their reasoning.....whether it's taken as that or not, varies among us. I don't know the depths of most kinships here, so I take everyone's opinions/advice as a relative possibility unless it is blatantly ridiculous, or obviously hilarious.....and even then, I won't always call them on their bullshit. There's enough spade calling without my 2 pennies thrown in Post up links to what drives the hatred doesn't change shit, imo.....any attempts from him to reconcile? I've surely said shit here n there that had me packin a hoof in my mouth, but it's usually a failing effort from my eclectic side just trying to be funny1 point

Ya, I have to hear him in person though. I wasn't sure if it was an "Uuuggghh" or more of a "Aaaahhhh" sound. There's a big difference in Jbot speak. The first sound would indicate pretty much what you said. The latter would mean "got stuck after step 5, gave up trying to fit bags and drank diet coke instead."1 point

Screw all this talk of rain, enjoy my ride back to Greenville SC. 28S, 64E, 178S. 64 is nothing to write home about, but both the other roads are great....28 for the smooth flowing road with amazing view, and 178 was just fun. Wish you guys could have made the trip and waited till Sunday to ride back. If you dont want to watch all 7 minutes of the first video, start from 2 minutes in. The pace for either video isn't blistering, I was alone with no cell reception and had laid it down 2 days before....excuses excuses. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVe-3PsgTJs& May be a few minutes before the second video is live http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABWjqzCSl6U&1 point

Just repped him now. I stay out of most of the political threads, so I probably missed what got y'alls panties in a bunch, but I've also never seen him stoop to the childish levels of those who call him out over and over again lately.1 point

I side with the doj on this one. Someone inside leaked classified info about a terror plot to the press. They should pull the phone records. Find out who did it and put them in Gitmo since it doesn't seem to be closing. But send Holder there for fast and furious too. Along with most of the IRS. Fuck it. Send them all, let's start over.1 point

I've repped him on several occasions. Although I don't agree with his stance on guns, freedom, and politics, he IS a good debater and brings his points with general respect and intelligence. Some posts in poor taste.... Yes, at times.1 point

Hey everyone, My name is Mark. I have always loved working cars, but for a few years I was too busy and didn’t have the time. Recently, I have been getting back to it autocrossing with POS VETT and Cordell and tinkering with my FC RX-7 (let the jokes begin, it seems that rotaries are not popular here). They keep talking about the forum, so I figured it was time to check it out. I just picked up my 93 RX-7 last week. I am looking forward to meeting car and racing enthusiasts.1 point

I joined a walking team at work and it is posed as a competition with others. I've been parking further away and walking to places that are only a mile or two away. I wear a pedometer all the time and record my activities. I haven't really altered what I eat. I tried to cut back on the daily candy/chocolate intake, probably shouldn't be eating a bag of sour patch kids or a candy bar daily anyway. I weighed in mid day on April 30th, and as of this morning I'm 4lbs lighter! I'd like to have 4 less lbs by the end of the month so that I can fit back into my good jeans. Probably my more important goal is to be able to hike Mt. Mitchell without feeling like crap after. I'm planning on doing that at the end of the month.1 point

i honestly hate riding in big groups. im not the fastest guy out, nor am i the slowest. In general large group rides get into a cluster fuck, people get lost, people crash, trying to ride outside their limits, other people getting upset because of various situations. i like to keep to a 3-5 person group ride. i ride my pace, and others can do what they want. usually why i hate leading. i also hate following though, so it fucks me all up. i like space, and lots of it. incase i make a mistake or someone else does, or incase i up or slow my pace im not hindering anyone elses pace, or someone isnt slowing me down. its a love hate lol1 point

As a former law enforcement officer and current concealed carry holder I see this from both sides. I worked in the low income housing unit so I understand the area. In our area it was definitely frowned upon to open carry. There is no doubt he would be stopped and questioned. Now with that said, we knew the law. We also had a mind set of just because of the area we were in, you respected everyone until disrespected. Even then you showed respect, which went a long way. I hate that everyone gets as long as they want to take apart a situation and decision that an officer has seconds to make. Not every call made in real life is going to be the correct one. And some of this goes to how the department has its policies set, and training. I think if you pose the question, can you open carry in Ohio? Yes. Can you expect to get the same response out of all police agencies? No. Does this guy deserve $3.6m? That's for a Judge and jury of his peers to decide. It seems as if the current amount of information is a little lacking to make either party wrong or right, but I lean more toward the rights of the person. That's what makes America what it is.1 point

I really dont understand what gun and politics are doing on a bike fourm. Mangs is a good guy and a great rider. I dont have a question in my mind that he would stop and help any rider in trouble and has been very helpful bringing new riders to the sport. If you guys dont want opinions then dont post about it in the first place.0 points
