'Carb Parts Warehouse', not to be confused with 'Car Parts Warehouse'. http://www.carbparts.com/ 4207 Ridge Road, Cleveland I stumbled upon the website for this place and wasn't impressed since it has broken links and looks like it hasn't been updated in years. Well I got tired of buying jests 2 by 2 online for $6 a pop and having to pay $8 to ship something that can just be thrown in an envelope. So I stopped by when I was in the area. The owner was in the store and was extremely helpful. The place looks like he does nothing but online sales, yet when I asked for the main jets I needed, he walked over to a bin, and in 2 seconds I had my requested jets in hand. No shipping and 5 bucks a pop for genuine Keihin jets. Awesome to know that there is a local place I can stop by to get parts I used to have to wait a week for and pay shipping. He's got pretty much all the hard parts for carbs in stock, and can order complete carbs like FCR's, CR's, etc, and from the prices he gave they are better than all the online retailers like Sudco or PJmotorsports. So If you need random carb parts and don't want to wait or pay shipping, hit this place up! Just call first, as I was warned he has weird hours.

Some buddy scheduled the Bristol race that weekend, used to be in March for ever, well until last year. So I will be in Tennessee that weekend. This year we have Hot passes for qualifying day! Maybe the difference is between fuel injected and carbureted engines? Mine is fuel injected and I believe my manual says to use the key. Someone mentioned that the key shuts down the fuel injectors instead of just killing the spark. So I've been using the key, just in case it actually makes a difference. Using the kill switch does makes sense as a way to ingrain the motion in case of emergency. (Stuck throttle?) Maybe that's why MSF teaches it. Similar to the reason for teaching the use of both brakes for routine stops. In an emergency, the habit of controlling the rear brake might help. (I mainly use the rear brake for slow speed maneuvers. I might add it when coming to a stop when I think about it. Back to the point about creating habits in case of emergency when there is no time to think!)

An alternative to gel gloves are foam grips. Not only will the foam soak up some vibes but the larger diameter will keep you from closing your hand so tight. I really hope you can find some relief T.

Don't underestimate the fun of fat slicks. I used to have some slicks that when locked up on pavement would let out a super high shriek as loud as any car's tires. Riding knobbies distance on pavement is brutal. If you like them a spare wheelset is worth not switching back and forth.

My Trek 1.1 the day I picked it up. Unfortunately with the weather I have mostly rode it on a trainer but that will change once we get nice weather. I think I have only put about 40-50 miles on it outdoors. My specalized hardrock disk. I really need to get this thing out in the mud soon.

Person making $25,000, you take $2.5k on top of all the other taxes you still have to pay. They now have at most $22.5k to live on, to save etc. Second person is making $200,000. You take $20,000. They still have $180k. Which one of these has to choose between food, shelter clothing because of the taxes? Not the person making $200k.
