Just so you are mentally prepared for what is going to happen...about 3 hours into the slab part Wed I am going to get in the left lane and drop back beside you. Kick on the cruise control, prop my feet up on the highway pegs, take a hit from my bottled water in my cup holder and a few hits on my vap while blasting Born to be Wild from the stereo. then flip you of and then go back up front.5 points

Rain forecast earlier in the week said rain saturday/sunday, now it's friday/saturday. Looks like it's moving towards earlier in the week. Hopefully the trend keeps continuing and we have a dry day!3 points

I hope you're right. Btw it would be easier to trust you if you had a different forum name.3 points

Once again, Mike at @RidersDiscount has come through for me! Messaged him yesterday saying I needed new gloves for the races coming up this weekend (as if I was somehow unaware that I needed new ones since the end of last year...nothing like prior planning). 24 hours later these are on my doorstep! Couldn't beat the price, and damn sure couldn't beat the customer service once again. Thanks Mike! He has helped me (and my Mrs.) pick up exactly what I've needed to get ready again for the season.2 points

Just returned from the 14th annual V-Strom event at Iron Horse M/C Lodge. It's been awhile since I've attended this but this year many of the original (old) track gents from Barbers Motorsports park area came and it was like old times. Great weather and Riding for all. My new Strom with the 50/50 Mitas tires worked great. Road a little forest service roads but 90% was the good stuff. Nothing new to report down at the gap. The Mini Coopers were out in force but they don't take up too much room in the lanes and it was easy to deal with them. Standard Photo's2 points

I would have played that differently. Would have told him take my money right now or forget it. Dibs2 points

It's been a long time since I've been on here. But I just saw that you guys are planning the annual trip again. Some friends and I are heading out there June 5th and leaving June 10th. Hopefully we'll be able to meet up I haven't seen you guys forever. We're staying in Robbinsville at the two wheel inn.2 points

23 year AMA member. Wife ditched it in the snow. They said sorry that is not classified as a tow but a pull out. Refused service. Also was supposed to be a free life member after 25 years when I joined. They changed that shit too. They can go pound sand. Oh yea. They screwed up road racing and the magazine is a joke. Your choice road or off road. Road mag has more info on off road stuff not to mention all the advertising. I'm out.2 points

Also understand that IP rides a Ducati so he needs the best roadside assistance that can be offered!2 points

One of the Stromtrooper (V-Strom owner) Rally attendees looked at a photo tent for more just a few fractions of a second too long last week and put his bike into the berm. He was OK, the bike was OK and will probably be on the Killboy Fail roll at some point, but it highlights the folly of looking anywhere except the turns on 129.2 points

Verified with the church this morning and they are okay with us to be there. They have an event in the morning and they just asked that we try and keep the noise levels down in the parking lot in respect of the seminar. So no rev bombing, etc. We will have a collection plate/box for anyone that wants to donate a little bit of money to the church for letting us use their property as a meeting place. This would be a nice gesture to the church for them being so flexible in allowing us to use their location as a meet spot. Maybe we can even let the hate parade hand over the donation. That would be irony at it's finest.2 points

Practice shooting. I personally think most (maybe all) upgrades to firearms are a waste of money. When buying used firearm, I won't touch anything that has been modified.2 points

Exactly why I grabbed a 19. I have no need for it, well that's a stupid statement, but really don't. I don't carry it, I don't rock it out, just sits in my safe ready to go. But that is exactly why I got it. The most replacement parts out there, easy to find, cheap parts, etc. It is strictly a SHTF piece. 2 large cap mags, a few holster options, and that's it. Well threaded barrel in the safe too for a can down the road, but nothing fancy just a good pew. I still hate that I love it.1 point

I have AMA. It covers any vehicle as well. Called them a couple times for keys locked in vehicle. What I would tell you in those instances is it will be awhile before they get there. I think they have a limited number of providers. I use them because for $50 a year it also supports a group that looks out for motorcyclists and lobbies for your rights as a rider.1 point

I'd check the coverages because when Pauly ran into the issue with his supersport failing, he had to get it towed. I believe he was using riders insurance with roadside assistance but they literally only covered like 10 miles. He ended up using someone elses AAA card and got him much further. Just pay attention to what the roadside assistance is because that's important.1 point

I usually just let mine run the entire time and have ridiculously long videos. I'm sure its boring to some, but in the dead of winter I like to sit and watch them again. I will probably record the entire ride.1 point

I have one on the side of my helmet. I like the sense of movement of and on the bike with the chest mount. If anything it'll just be another view. I still dont know what I am doing with footage. I normally have it set to take pictures every so often since I really dont have a way to edit video (I dont really care to edit video footage) minus little clips I can use for social media and such.1 point

Haha, No ...I'd liked to tried it but don't think the boy would have been up to it. We trailered to my aunts house east of Denver, uloaded and took off for a few days through the mountians. That's why my states ridden in map looks the way it does. Some of the best riding in my life.1 point

I ended up buying a chest harness (saw your vid a while back) looking forward to seeing the footage that I capture using it.1 point

It's not unlike riding in that respect... Better to be a great rider on a SV650 than have a GSXR 1000 and not be as talented. I am still debating between a G19 and something cheaper... I don't shoot that often, and I can't decide whether the superior trigger is really worth $200 to me.1 point

Yea, don't bother looking at their signs trying to read their names. Easily found on the webs, just make a mental note of date and time you pass through. Killboy Moonshine Photo 129 Slayer 129 Photo US129 Photo1 point

My dad died from cancer when I was two. My surrogate dad was my uncle. He taught me to hunt, fish, ride a bike and got me laid the first time. He was cool as fuck. Killed himself on a bike. He is why I ride.1 point

My dad didn't have a bike until I was in high school. We rode 4-wheelers together, and i switched to dirt bikes when he switched to street bikes. At 17 years old, with my high school graduation money and some savings, I bought my first street bike(01 CBR F4i). We rode together all the time, him on his Harley, me on the sport bike. We don't ride as much together now due to our riding styles being different paces, but we still tour together. We spend more time now in the garage wrenching bikes, which I thoroughly enjoy.1 point

So I am paying for you to go on vacation and paying for your vacation? Sounds like a sweet setup. You ride the Daytona for $75/hour and you got a deal.1 point

I would say put lots of rounds through it. Find things you don't like about it an start from there. We could meet at select fire N shoot if you want it's up the street from your pizza shop. I don't pay to shoot much anymore since I have a close private property I use most of the time.1 point

I'm about 99% sure I'll be there. Got the wife approval and the bike is ready.1 point

My father has aways had a bike and would take my sister and I on rides all over the place. First ride was on a Kawasaki H1 500, I was terrified, but also never the same! All 3 of my kids have taken rides around the neighborhood by age 3 and have accompanied me to every super bike race at Mid-Ohio from age 1 up. My oldest (14) rides a moped and is so hooked on bikes that it is all he talks about for years. My daughter (12) also wants to get moped and ride a bike once she is old enough. My youngest (10) rides motocross and started racing towards the end of last year. All of them have had dirtbikes starting with PW50's. Motorcycles have become a common interest between my children and I, and our lives are better because of it.1 point
