Advance only had 12 riders when I signed up in the morning and it felt like less on track. Beautiful day with tons of open track. Wish I would have known about the timer, I have a GPS that you could have borrowed for the day. Yep, they are starting to do a gear tech as well as bike tech. Rusty gave me shit about my duct taped boot soles, but I agree they are a half assed temporary repair that needs attention. I'm kind of surprised about the 2 piece, if it is good condition and a full zipper, I would have thought it would be fine for intermediate??? I'll say I looooooove my RST I picked up from Riders Discount, think they were about sold out of their closeouts though. Couple views of the last session for now, screwed up the editing and sequencing of the first one......also didn't realize the camera was set to narrow field of view so it is a little different. The second video turned out way better than I anticipated, I'll be using that view again3 points

Should have made this decision a week ago and rode down to Vintage Days at Mid-O. 75% of your nationwide perspective buyers were there looking to purchase.3 points

I had a great time racing at Mid O over Vintage Days. Let's just say the fast guys schooled me a bit... While walking around on Sunday, I spied Wes Cooley's superbike in the pit lane, with Wes sitting there getting ready to ride a few laps of honor. As I was attempting to take a few pics through the chain link fence, one of the guys down on pit lane said, "come on down." So headed down and had a few moments conversation with Wes, a really decent guy. He had a really bad accident in 1985 and still showed some signs of the injuries. We got to taking taking pictures of his bike and he graciously offered to have one taken of the two of us. The bike sounded glorious going down the front straight. There were several Japanese fellows there as well who came over from Japan. One spoke some english and relayed to me that one of them was the former Kawasaki Z-1 lead designer and had the serial #1 of the original Eddie Lawson replica. They got a huge kick out of Wes's old bike and knew a great deal about Pops Yoshimura. Great Fun ....2 points

Okay I'm officially back bitches. Even though the Mod-o-saurus unbanned me yesterday I wanted to be a good sport and did a self imposed 24 ban to serve the entire 48 hour that I agreed to when I entered the contest. And yes I discovered the bug and it was purely by mistake and if the site were in any kind of danger or compromised in any way I would have immediately contacted Ben to tell him what I knew. BUT... opportunities to get under @Tonik's skin don't come around often and I wanted rub it in a little bit before the gig was up. Which I had full confidence in him that he would figure it out on his own. But I knew it was just eating at him till it was resolved so, mission accomplished.2 points

This thread has nearly as much "ghey" as the "Guess what bike I just bought" threads. Go buy something that makes you happy and then post a pic!2 points

Ok, this just went epic. Instead of points the grand prize will be driving the Tesla. Tesla or BAN!!2 points

Let's make this interesting in the spirit of recent inexplicably interesting sweepstakes of bannings or forum points: everyone make their singular make-model suggestions and tonik has to test ride them. Regardless of what he buys, he picks the top three and doles out forum points accordingly. Everyone else gets banned for a week. Ducati multistrada will get a podium spot; write it in, bitches.2 points

Yes, it uses a plug in. Tapatalk hijacks all links posted via TapaTalk and I believe images and uses a url shortener of shorts so that when I view a pic you post with tapatalk or click a link you posted I end up getting one of their bullshit cookies and end up in their bullshit tracking system. The original developer is still with Tapatalk, he is a real dick head. He sold it and his soul to some investment firm that is now focused on monetizing it and generating cash. Part of my hatred is I bought the full version prior to him selling out, so I should be exempt from their shenanigans, but am not. I love Tim to death, in a non-homo way, but If I owned this place I would get rid of that crap in a heartbeat.2 points

There are 100's of makers and opinions on who makes the best. What you need to know. 1) buy mil spec 2) don't buy a poly lower 3) don't take opinions from your coworker based on his hours of playing COD 4) because it costs more doesn't make it better 5) you don't absolutely have to have a dust cover and forward assist like your 395 pound neighbor that thinks he's a tactical operator says 6) no matter who's name is stamped on the lower and other parts they're all made in the same places. There's only a handful of factories that make lowers and bolt carriers and such. They just stamp names on them. Barrel length is decided by what you want to do with it. 16" is standard and a good do all length. You want long range get longer. I prefer 10". Stock, Grip and Forend are personal preference. Find what you like. I prefer Magpul stock and Forend and an Ergo grip Sights and optics are also personal preference. I use magpul flip sights and a Lucid optic. You just want an entry level play rifle to take to range and keep around the house, any off the shelf AR will work. You want one your way, building one is pretty easy. PSA offers many good combinations and very good prices for a good do all standard rifle. Go to the store and gun shows, handle them all and find the the things you like and dislike and go from there. I can order anything you want or build one for you from the parts you prefer also.2 points

Ok, it is time for round two incorporating the things we learned from the previous contest. Pay attention, you may get banned. Up for grabs is 10K in points, or a 48 hour ban. Everyone that enters will get a prize. People that guess the number wrong will get banned for 48 hours. People that guess the number right will get their share of the 10K. If two people get the number right, they each get 5K each. If 10 people get the number right they each get 1K each. If you are the only one to get the correct number you get the full 10K and will be able to get elite Supporter status for free!! As many of you know I am very particular about how clean and shiny my bike is. Those that have traveled with me have seen me out at 6AM cleaning the bugs off my bike and making the chrome shine. So the question is, on my recent 10 day Colorado trip how many times did I get on the bike and drive to a car wash and fully wash the bike. Hint: I am pretty sure I washed it more times on this trip than @OsuMj has washed her bike this entire season. 1) You may only guess once. If you guess more than once only your first guess will count. 2) You may post and not be entered in the contest, as long as your post does not contain a guess. 3) Contest ends Saturday afternoon 7/9. Bannings will be immediate at that time. You win, and you win, and you win!!! Everybody wins!!!1 point

The Ninja 1000 is not the superbike (ZX10R), it's a gentlemans sport street bike with normal ergonomics and a fantastic motor. Think modern FZ1 with hard bags. @jschaf has the same bike.1 point

I'm in the same boat as IP, I love my 2 Ducati's. Neither is a perfect bike and I will agree with everything so far on the service intervals and cost. I bought the first one (07 sport classic) without ever riding it and I have no intentions of ever getting rid of it. My second Duc is my '06 749 superbike that I picked up just for track riding and isn't currently street legal. As much as people claim to hate the looks of the 749/999 series I dig them and the price was right.1 point

Looks like this is going to be a New England trip leaving Monday the 25th, Dan is trying to get time off work to go but he is unsure if he can. Still working out the details but I want to ride to the Utica NY and checking out Allegeny NF and the Finger Lake/ Glen area on day one avoiding most freeway once out of Ohio. Day 2 will be through the Adirondack Mountains, ferry crossing over lake Champlain head south through the green mountains and make my way over to Lincoln, NH where I want to stay at least 2 nights. Day 3 will be exploring the White mountain range that will include going up Mount Washington. Day 4 will be dipping in to Maine and making my way down to Portland where I would like to check out 2 or Maine's oldest light houses.(one of which you have to take a boat out the island). Day 5 will be headed back west avoiding most freeways and cutting through the Catkills Mountains. Day 6 will be most likely slabbing it back to the home front. Most hotels are $70 on average if I book ahead of time with my discount(if dan can't go I can split with someone else) and I'm thinking between 2500 to 3000 miles total trip in 6 days.1 point

Maybe we should let this one go. Dude lost his bike, soon his pool table and all his man cave stuff will be gone. All he has now is poo filled diapers. It would be the humane thing to do.1 point

Picked up the new ride this afternoon. So far I really like it. I can't wait to get some break in miles on it so that I can give it hell. Felt good on the ride home. When I got home my wife took one look at it and said "How old are we?" LOL. She didn't complain when I took her for a spin around the hood though.1 point

Only as a leftover with big discounts. The press murdered it because it's hard to categorize. It's biggest flaw was the $16k msrp. Got mine with bags for $7k (slightly used). Not 1 regret. The big v4 is stupid good. It was perfect for the gap trip.1 point

John, I'd like to volunteer for Saturday. I've ridden a bicycle in pelotonia in the past, but this year I'd like to use one of my motorcycles to help out. I have a DR650 and a 1200GS; both bikes have carrying capacity for tools, tubes, water, etc. I'm certified in first aid, and I can change a bicycle tire. I also have a Sena 20s for communications. I'm friends with Scott, but don't hold that against me [emoji12]. Jeff1 point
