  3. Think I have decided to go with non foldable for now for a few reasons. First off I still like the idea of it being more rigid. Second I bought 3/4 in treated plywood for the top and I know it would not fold as flat as it should and it might stow MORE out of he way (or flater against the wall)if not folded. And the final reason is if I don't like it not foldable I can always cut the plywood later. But if I don't like it the other way I'm SOL and would have to buy another sheet of ply. So I give that a try for now and see how I like it.

  4. Ok, it's official then. Date is June 10th at: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Applebee's/@40.140282,-82.986518,17z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x9fc07eff661ccd46!8m2!3d40.142184!4d-82.98904 Trailer peeps will meet down by the Best Buy that is behind and a tad east of Applebee's. I will post a really nice twisty route through the parking lot markers prior to the ride.

  5. Okay so I picked up this Harbor Freight trailer. It was actually second hand and got it for half price but it was never assembled so I'm in the process of assembling it. And before anyone starts heckeling me, my bike is not going on this trailer unless it is broken or crashed. It is for the 4 wheeler or mower or just trips to the lumber yard. My question is. I am getting down to where I need to fix the plywood top to the frame. This is one of those folding trailers where you have to cut the plywood in half and put it on into sections. But you can also affix permanent bolts in the hinge part of the frame and not cut the plywood in half but then it will not be foldable. This obviously would make the trailer more rigid and sturdier. I will be storing the trailer inside because these cheap trailers if left outside we'll just rust away. But I do have 10 foot ceilings in my garage and could still lean it up against the wall without folding it. Would just be more difficult to do. What would you do? Make it foldable and more easily stowable? Or make it more rigid and stronger but harder to store away?

  9. I might be up for a ride tomorrow. What time would you guys be thinking about?Any routes or roads you want to ride? I got the 09 about a month ago.I haven't had a chance to ride it all that much,it has about 960 miles on it.I traded in my 04 and the KLR.I kind of hated to see the 04 go...a lot of good memories and miles on that bike!I did keep the saddle bags,I 'm going to paint them and use them on the 09.I still have the '13 FJR,it has about 61,000 on it already.I'll probably always have a FJR.

  17. Had my surgery a week and a half ago. In physio rehab now. By the time the 2017 season starts off I'll be healed up enough to ride again. At this point I'd expect to be riding again in about 3 months, but that puts me in the middle of January.

  18. I carry plenty too, insulated cold weather gortex, light weight rain glove and a back up to my warm weather. My only problem is I'mve been wearing my back up all season that I wear 90% of the time. Thought I had till spring to replace them.

  19. Mine aren't real bulky just worried they will be too warm when the temps break onto th e 70s. Have been considering the A* smx-1 air. Just concerned about the fit I know some say order A* a size bigger. Don't think I'll have time to run down to the pony any this week.

  20. Only thing I realized I needed yesterday were warmer socks and a new pair or warm weather gloves(mine are shot). Got some wool socks at walmart and might just try to squeeze this last trip out of my old gloves. Worst case I toast them on the second day and have to wear my cold weather gortex gloves the rest of the trip. I have time to get another pair but just don't know what I want. I love the JoeRocket Phoenix gloves ive had but only getting one to two seasons out of them(on my 3rd pair in 4 years)and they don't have a tech finger.

  21. Should be a good game, Buckeyes are ranked #2 and Badgers #11. It's at 8pm its ABC's primetime game of the week so most places should have it televised. I checked on the Tenn and VT game time because the locals will want to watch those and they are earlier games so those places should be cleared out by that time.

  22. Any other Buckeye fans on this trip? Maybe we can find a place with in walking distance that will have the game on. Looking at Google maps there is a Hooters, OCharlys and a Applebee's near by. One of them should have the game on.

  24. Really?I'm loving it!All the hatred and greed worship of the Republican Party is being exposed. Some of us have always known what republicans are all about.Hell I live in southeastern Ohio,I've heard countless republicans spew their hate and aryan race bs when only white folks are around. As for the Dems...I was a little surprised that a self proclaimed socialist got as much play as he did,but I liked it. This is really just what reality TV has brought us....who ever speaks the loudest,is rude, bombastic and insults the best wins.At least on the republican side,we'll see if it can work in the general election. Besides, who knows, maybe Trump is just a shill for the Democratic Party. He used to be a democrat.
