This is so much fun and lots of good people, I hope to see some more OR folks at these events. If anyone wants to try it out but doesn't have a bike, mine is open to be borrowed for a race or practice. Most fun I've had on two wheels, period.

It was a complete blast. Parking lot racing around barrels. Amazing time. We had a nice big area that was fenced in for our racing and camping. Camping was at no extra charge. A huge saving if you have a motor home or RV. It was just above the paddock so very central location. Our stock XR/CRF100 class is still the most popular drawing 10-20 riders per event for both novice and expert classes. The Groms are showing up more and more and should get their own class soon. We will be keeping the CC limit stock but other mods allowed. Any Grom owners should show up and race or just hang out. I'll be taking a break this year to let some others pull the #2 plates. I'll be doing some rider coaching and helping the program run smoothly. For those who haven't been with us for a year or so, we have started paying corner workers. An easy way to make $50 cash for the partial day. It also helps the races progress much more quickly. You can now focus on your race instead of working. I get the temporary entertainment value of games. But when they become a way of life, there is a problem.

Pony service took "great care" of my stator recall and was right on it, bike came back to me looking as if nothing was even done......and that is a good thing.

I haven't been on here much since I went to the Tail of the Dragon. I recently picked up a crf450x supermoto setup. I've done lots of miles on the street and several track days on my sportbikes but this supermoto is totally different. I don't have a lot of time on it so I'm still learning how to ride it right but it's a blast. Even though it's not as fast as my 1000 it's just as fun. I started racing it in a local winter series out here in doing alright in it. It's a good thing that crashes don't hurt or cost as much. I'm planning on running in a national event out in Nevada at the end of March. I have a street setup for it as well so it's just a matter of switching wheels/tires and throwing the headlight assembly on and I can go rip it up on the street. I still have my ZX10-R for my Ricky Bobby moments when I wanna go fast as well. If you've never ridden a supermoto I highly encourage you to give it a try sometime.

Now that things have slowed down I am definitely looking forward to being back out this year and running the full season. See you guys out there!

Just found out that my Mom has cancer. Fuck. Not looking for sympathy, just getting it off of my chest. I can't tell my wife or kid for now. Not even supposed to know at this point but my brother let it slip. My dad died from a different type of cancer 13+ years ago. Here we go again.

I know everyone thinks they make kick-ass chili. I'd put this up against anyone's. I use some top secret ingredients, and it's a PITA to make, but it comes out great. It took first in a cookoff with about 15 entries.

I bought my V-Strom a new stator, a valve check (both were recall items) as well as a regreased steering head, shock and swingarm linkage set at IP this week. In some countries I'd be arrested for doing that to my Valentine...

Thanks Mike. It's an incredibly stupid waste of money, on paper. 75+ year old technology, low on HP, not known to be very reliable...but the the wife, kids and dog all love it and I even got my Mom to go for a ride today. I never thought that would happen.
