  2. So...I really wanted to like this bike. I wanted to think that HD could get past their form over function mentality and produce a functional fun sporty motorcycle. Meh http://www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/harley-davidson/2017-harley-davidson-street-rod-first-ride-review.html This looks like the the most uncomfortable standard bike ever. Look how high the pegs are, his knees are as high as the tank. No way I could tolerate that position for a long ride. This had a lot of potential, but HD doesn't seem to "get" riding positions that aren't typical cruiser. IMO It's a swing and a miss. Too bad.

  3. Took the bike out for a quick run through some mediocre twisties in northwest PA. Nothing like a 150 miles on the bike in 2.5 hours to clear the head.

  5. I don't but I am interested. If I did, having heard about the manner in which you usually ride, I probably wouldn't let you, lol.

  6. 3-5k$ for medical isn't squat with how the cost of medicine has increased. Hell, my medical insurance company just got hosed for the tune of $3,500 for a routine 20 minute office visit for a skin checkup which found no problems. The elephant in the room has gotten out of hand.

  8. Harley and performance just don't go together. They build cruisers to look good, and have one of the best motorcycle marketing/sales schemes IMO. They sell a ton of bikes and most owners are oblivious to the lack of performance, because they never experienced a bike that performs well, and guess what? They really don't care. Merely looking cool is priority number 1 for some. Sad but true. I've rode a 88 TC, 96 TC, & 103 TC motors, all have plenty enough power and probably too much for their brakes. They have added bigger forks and ditched the air shocks on the newer touring bikes, which should help performance, but at the end of the day, it's a heavy cruiser.

  10. Cincinnati Insurance Company. I carry $10,000 and here's why. If your current policy doesn't offer medical for you and a passenger, shitcan them and go with something that does. DO NOT COUNT ON THE OTHER DRIVER HAVING INSURANCE!!! The crackhead who stopped my ballroom dancing career had none!

  11. I have Rider Insurance and just paid $143 for the year for full coverage. Here's a quote from their Website: " Your policy of insurance provides Medical Payment Coverage according to the laws of Ohio. Medical Payment Coverages apply only to pedestrians when struck by your motorcycle. Medical Payment Coverages pay the cost of treatment up to $5,000 for the pedestrian from hospitals, doctors, and other medical providers. Medical Payment Coverage is not provided for vehicle operator or passenger."

  13. EBR/Buell is totally dead. He's a good (not great) engineer, but a terrible businessman. I wonder how many EBRs were actually sold to customers.

  14. True. If Harley has any bragging rights, it's due to people like the Vance & Hines Team. They may have some factory support; I don't know off-hand. HD did have Buell at one time and that went away. Through all this they haven't learned shit. Look...I own and ride Harleys. I really, really like the bike. But as a company they suck. Greed rules within their walls.

  18. You will like them for the price. Plus gives you a chance to try a 190/55 because I don't think they make one in a 190/50 GT spec Best dry grip I've ever had on my bike and worn perfectly round. At least my last two did.

  20. It is mounted, carbs are cleaned and mounted and exhaust is on. I am a bitch of a time cleaning up the old valve cover gasket, I SHOULD have done it before I mounted it up and has it on its side. Now I am having to be careful with all of the little pieces of gasket crap falling in beside the cams. I am probably going to lay the bike on its side and flush everything out with kerosene to make sure all of the pieces are out. I'm still not positive it will even run yet. I"ll have around $750 in it after new air filter and 2 oil changes and plugs. Hoping to sell it in the $1300 to $1400 range once it gets warm and is all pretty.
