Caught a severe case of the "while I'm at its." I was only going to change front brake pads, then noticed a seal leak in the forks, so wheel off, forks out. Then check steering stem and it felt slightly rought, ok, stem out, new bearings on order. Then while I at it, check the air filter.. well shit, may as well do the pair valve plates while I can get at it and maybe change out the coolant and mbe..... Aw crap (fuck - did it again..)3 points

I'm def have a heart for the 5th gens with the gear driven cams. (I hate Honda cam chain engines) My next ideas for crazyness is mbe grab an 8th gen, and stuff a 5th gen engine in it.1 point

Coolant flush/ switch to water. Got an oil change and the bodywork put back on. She's finally 99.8% done. Just waiting for some clip on bolts.

If you're going to be riding the twisties at a spirited pace & haven't been riding that long, get a bike that's got 60-80 HP. These 25-35 HP bikes are no match for a motivated hillbilly in a pickup truck with manly man's syndrome even if you are going 15-20 mph faster when you initiate the overtake. 60-80 HP is not going to make you highside when exiting corners & that's the main concern about higher power bikes.1 point

Just cleaned with WD40 for the first time. Worked really well.1 point

They're not flat at all. Probably 28-30 pounds front and 30-32 rear. Plus, it was sitting for a long time on stands.-1 points
