  1. Wish we could all just get a grip. Country's become quite unhinged as of late. We need to start getting along again or we're fucked. This Libtard v Repuglican crap is really bullshit. I would like to think that most of us are more centered. I know I am.

  5. So I just visited again. Yes @NinjaDoc the movements are significant. Entire body, arms legs head and not just from stimulus. Today he started to sit up....raised himself up several inches. And the movement is frequent. No changes since yesterday. Still running a 38.3 fever with fluid in lungs. So they are postponing removing the ventilator and waking him. Perhaps until Friday, but maybe tomorrow. The family really needs our visits, it really helps them. They are good peeps.

  7. @ludwb675 I enjoyed it. During my 1st session I found myself wanting to go faster. There were only 3 of us in my group in novice and 2 of us mentioned to our CR we felt we could definitely handle a faster pace easily. The next time out the CR picked up the pace and we caught up with the group that left before us. Definitely more enjoyable. In the 3rd session the 3rd guy in our group who was over thinking everything imo (made me think of some folks that post on OR) went down basically right in front of me. He got off in the grass. In the 4th and final session of the day I felt I was starting to improve on sections of the track. I really was enjoying winding through the final 2 turns before the front straightaway. All in all I had a good day. I plan to go back, but it probably won't be until next year. I was going to try to go to Pitt Friday for the free intro but they're calling for rain.

  8. thats some good news, i really hope he pulls through this. The reactions the family noted hopefully is not just hand squeezing etc, hopefully it involves significant limb and body movement which is a good starting sign. Possible the down time was not as bad as they feared initially and his wife starting CPR was a big blessing. As tonic said when hypothermia was mentioned i was loosing hope, but now i kind of have a feeling this guy is gonna get back to us, we just have to wait. When we were riding together roughly couple of weeks ago, I would be pulling ahead and waiting for him at the next intersection. And i told him " i like riding with you because i know you are enjoying your ride at your pace and not trying to keep up and i have zero worries and absolutely sure you are going to show up at the next intersection no matter the wait time" . I guess he is gonna do it again. We just have to wait and he will show up. This is kind of hitting me hard because at that time we got to talk a lot and ended up discussing some deep stuff , and as if getting jinxed we were discussing about heart attack, stents, bypass surgery, getting old, life support every thing, what he prefers whats right thing to do etc Now looking back it I wish we didnt talk about those.

  9. Update: Spoke with John's daughter again this morning. They are delaying the meeting with the brain doctor for another day or two to give him some more rest. He's still fighting the infection. His daughter said "we are still praying his brain wakes up". Keep fighting John.

  11. Earlier this year, I bought a new Neotec and Sena 10U from @RidersDiscount. And let me just state for the record, that Mike has gone ABOVE AND BEYOND what any would expect from a company. Thanks for everything you've done good sir. It's not your fault these guys are asshats... ANYWHO...get the unit installed and charged and immediately out of the box, the remote doesn't work. Doesn't hold a charge, doesn't do jack squat. Contact Mike, he says to contact Sena as that's what they want. Takes a few days for them to respond, and do the usual drivel of reset it, do what the manual says, yadda yadda yadda. So I finally get the RMA to send the remote back in for replacement under warranty. I end up having to harrass them for when it will be sent back as this was right at the time @JustinNck1 and I were heading down to Maggie Valley. Eventually they managed to get the remote to me the day before we left. And thankfully, this one worked as it should. Now let me also add that during this time I've been using the 10U without the remote. I'd only been getting at the most 6 hours of time before the battery shuts down. Now I know that is crap since lots of others have been getting double that easily. It gets to the point that while on our trip we have to pull off, plug it into a battery pack to charge for a bit, then unplug it to resume use. It gets old really fast. So, when we get back, I make contact again with my displeasure of the terrible battery life stating how others are getting MUCH better results than I am. I get the run around of try a reset, maybe a wire is pinched, a real line of BS basically. Kept in contact with Mike, to where he made some phone calls himself and finally got it to where they will do another RMA for the entire unit. Again, this is not something that he had to do, but willingly did it of his own accord. He has my business for life now. Get an email on 28th of June FINALLY saying a replacement will be shipped but gave no tracking info or anything. I wait. Emailed them yesterday stating I was curious as to when this will ship out since there was no tracking info attached. Get told that the 10U is now on backorder and they have no idea when it will ship. I'm getting pretty pissed. You pay good money for a product, hoping that it will work great like all the others do. Get maybe a couple months of use out of it and it is a total turd. Company is a pain in the ass to deal with. So if anyone else has to do a return with Sena for any reason..be prepared.

  16. Yep. Qman's right about any bike dragging if leaned enough & the heavier the bike with the lighter rider, yada, yada, but you probably wouldn't be disappointed with the VFR1200. I don't think it really accommodates taller riders though.

  19. No doubt Jim. You should at least go have a look and set how it fits. Pauly does not give props to too many bikes but he has always been positive on this model. I'm a perfect example of not needing the latest up to date machinery to have a good time on two wheels.

  21. 16 goes right into Charlotte but is no where near Fayetteville, NC, which is OK because Fayetteville is no where near Charlotte Looks like 16 would be a good option for hiro. After riding a good portion with Tonic I agree it is a nice ride.

  23. This is true, when they follow me they drag...which surprises the hell out of me. Now I am grinding like a mofo of course...but them dragging too is a surprise. But they power out of the turn and blow my doors off of course.

  27. I hated the VFR1200 when it came out but then I got to test ride one and my tune quickly changed. Not quite enough to switch up from my perfectly modded '06 800 but enough that if I get back in to the 2 wheel game and can get one cheap it'd be at the top of my list. Everyone has always said the VFR's are ugly but I think those people are a horrible judge of looks

  32. freaking luck, we should have just traded a month ago lol i say go for VFr over sprint but i am biased to V4. The vf12 with Dam has to be heard in person to appreciate its note. Not as fun as twin aftermarket vf800, but still a good note.

  34. I was looking at the F800 RT. The rep walked me through what type of riding I do and said that I should focus on the torque capabilities of a bike and not the horsepower. She thought the F800 would give me what I wanted without breaking the bank. She just didn't realize I was working with a piggy bank, not a real bank.

  37. Except for @thompsonian you peeps are not being helpful. The OP clearly said he is a dumbass and can't/won't do it himself. Yet you continue to tell him how to do it himself. I on the other hand keep pointing him to an actual solution based on the criteria he presented in the OP. When I am more helpful than everyone else...well that's pretty F'd up.

  41. Back to the original post. I recommend a 1000cc rr for a starter bike for the OP only. This thread is driving me knuts . In the process of selling my CBR in this guy's price range. He could buy it & in a short time we'd never have to hear from him again. Nah. Couldn't do it.

  42. So I just left. I will be honest, I went to see him to say goodbye. But I didn't, there is hope. He most certainly responds quickly and strongly to stimulus even though he is still sedated. He moves on his own like someone tossing in their sleep. Then he let out this giant sigh. To me thats a physical response to an emotional thought. To me that is huge. He has a lung infection, so he is on antibiotics and the ventilator until they clear his lungs. And while that is going on they have to keep him sedated. They hope tomorrow that they will remove the ventilator.
