A (very fast) guy I used to ride with, would break away from the group and find a place to stop. Then he'd break a cigarette in half and light it. When you caught up he was leaning against his bike "just finishing" his smoke. When I finally got quicker and could stay with him I figured out what he was doing 🤣

First real ride on the BMW this weekend. I haven't liked a bike this much...maybe ever

I rode today. Left the house around 8:45. It was super chilly this morning and plenty of salt on the roads, but I didn't have one slip or slide. Heated vest and grips were warm enough that I enjoyed pretty much the entire day. The 30 minute slab from driveway to meetup was kind of boring, but it beats sitting on an airplane for 3.5 hours. Perspective is a very stong educator. I love riding the BMW. I love auto-blippers. I love heated grips. I love cruise. I love riding season. I love all of this shit. Let's get this season on its way. Speed safe, all.

Got out for about 350 miles yesterday for the first real ride on the BMW R1200R. It is an amazing motorcycle, and perfect for a long trip.

Put mine mostly back together. New longer bars and lap timer mount. Brake guard. Etc. Bodywork is back on.

That guy on the cover is my friend Dan Anderson. Met him at the gap last year. He didnt even know till it came out. He's the one that convinced me to buy my new Klim gear.

I tried this once. Ended up so far behind he stopped at the gas station at the end of the road and was leaning up against the sign pole staring at his wrist when I got there

Okay Paulie don't get your panties in a twist. The KTM Super Adventure is just as fast as my bike but it doesn't have enough cylinders so I find it nearly impossible to ride plus it doesn't have the wind protection the your bike has. 4 is the proper number of cylinders if you want to ride a motorcycle anything else is a scooter. I could see you liking the RT but just for the same amount of time you are going to like the R. I could own a RT if I did any amount of two up riding. She only rode with me one time last year and that was just a trick to get me to go to a dog show where one of her friends was showing for the first time.
