I put in distilled water and water wetter over the past weekend in the track bike. Edit: Just in time for near freezing temps towards the end of this week

This, I say it was an outside factor. Heck, I spooned on a new rear Q3 at the track took maybe 2 laps to scrub them in and was on pace.

Oh so we are talking about pressure you are consciously putting on your (outside to stay locked in tank) vs. weight (inside by virtue of hanging off the bike).

I've been under the assumption that you want the weight low and inside, and weighting the inside peg does that for you. I understand the having to put some pressure on the outside peg to lock your outside leg into the tank but I always thought the majority of your weight should be on that inside peg.

Coolant flush/ switch to water. Got an oil change and the bodywork put back on. She's finally 99.8% done. Just waiting for some clip on bolts.

Thats a good deal. I'd check with @RidersDiscount to make sure they cant give you a better deal (that's already a good price but doesn't hurt to check.) How often do you ride in the rain? I rarely ride in the rain. I've been caught in the rain a handful of times while on Q3's and didn't have any issues, but I also wasn't riding like a bat out of hell either lol.
