Dont need a genny, you can run street tires and be fine all the way up to A group. It's actually better that newer riders not ride on slicks as you have to run a certain pace to keep heat in that tire. Something I'm thinking about when I'm rolling around in a group other than Advanced.

Still, there will be no info out there on how to properly set it up for the first year at least. Maybe longer if no one fast actually buys and develops them. Aftermarket parks will be few and far between and spares even more sparse... The things most racers need will not be available to your "average" racer. I bet I'll see one though, but almost guarantee it'll be some rich dude that isnt very fast anyway, just likes having the newest stuff to say he has the newest stuff. SV's and FZ's will still make up most of the grids.

Nivin, chill. Just get an already setup sv650 if you want a dedicated track bike for the occasional track day. You'll save money. If you really want to spend money, buy an sv and give me the difference of what you paid for that vs. what you would've paid for that Ape 660 LOL.

There's plenty more than 2 girls that can ride better than me. Those two arent them, though. Love how that guy has a cig in his mouth. Practice like you do it in real life.

I dont think I'd pass the motorcycle test on a goldwing.

So only one of them needs to be semi sober coming home from a bar. They will lead.

My triumph daytona was a dream bike of mine ever since I rode one in 06 when they came out. A buddy had one and I feel in immediate love. Fast forward graduating high school, college, obtaining a big boy job and I finally bought one. It's long gone but I do miss it. Had a gsxr1000 that happened by happenstance, and from there went to my current bike, an sv which I intentionally bought to become a better rider. My current crush would still be a 675 if they could get auto-blip. So currently have my future sights on an r6.

Patiently waiting for his FZ1 to come up for sale.

This comment was good on 2 different levels.

Do you think the aides were holding you back? Just trying to make sense of the reasoning for specifically going no aides.
-
And? That's not the argument here, the argument is that those aids pretty makes the rider useless lol.

The best rider is winning. MM93 is the best rider in the world and has been imo since he got to GP. Fabio has entered the stage now and we will see how that plays out in 2020. It's not purely the bike, or Lorenzo wouldnt be a complete back marker. Ducati has more legs than the Honda (Honda got way faster this year and its not nearly as bad but I think the duc is still slightly faster in a straight line.) Put a Moto3 guy on a GP bike, guess whos losing? Put a GP guy back on a Moto3 bike, guess who my money is on.

Man we're in 2019, you don't think they saw the data during the season and tried to tweak it? We're still a long ways off from bikes being able to go faster than a human without a human. With what your saying, you could hop on a GP bike and go as fast because the bike is doing the work.
-
Take that all away, those guys are still the best in the world and would prove it on any bike. Even the back markers could come over here and whoop on the MA paddock. At the level they are competing at, they are looking for any kind of advantage. There was a post I was looking at, it was an interview with Josh Herrin and he was talking about him and Tony Elias going back and forth. After looking at Toni's data, Toni was getting better drives out of corners because he wasnt just whacking the throttle open, he was progressively opening it where as Josh was just whacking it open and letting the technology take hold. Guess what he found? Toni using his skill to open the throttle was faster than just letting the TC sort things out. So Josh followed suit. So even over here, riders arent 100% relying on the bike to go fast.

Even on the track, ABS has saved some of my buddy's only handful of times that I've heard of, at most. Mostly those emergency situations and the rear wheel was off the ground. AHem, @blue03636

Not sure if they have braking profiles. To me that would just add a variable I don't care to have to think about/ adjust to. I want the brakes to feel the same way every time, leave it to me to modulate the brake. GPS linked traction control, yes. Event at the "amateur" level it exists. Some corners require more intervention than others. Fuel mapping may change based on what the TC is telling it to do to prevent wheelspin. FWIW I dont think that tiny ninja needs traction control anyway LOL. I don't think my sv needs it and I have more HP and TQ.

So that was for you! Assuming John picked that up for you.

RST is pretty good bang for the buck. I have a 1pc and 2 pairs of gloves all of which have been down at some point. Still going strong. I'll end up succumbing to an airbag suit, but it most likely (hopefully) wont be because I destroyed my RST.

It tis, isn't it Pretty sure you know that's not the answer to the question I asked that I was looking for. I already know the answer.

What do you know about v4's Nivin?
-
OMG I cant wait for 650IB to buy all 3 of them and roll race them!
-
Good. Fuckers lol.

@Tonik You must now wheelie the wing with video evidence to confirm Justin's findings.

Saw you post up on the N2 forum as well. Just let me know when you're ready next season and I'll get you setup. We have a Try the Track offer open to anyone who is comfortable manipulating the controls of a bike and going highway speeds and has never ridden on any track before (this is a safety issue). A person can get 2 free sessions at any of the track days we host for free, no catches. Just make sure to sign up early because those spots fill first. If you want to continue to ride the rest of the day after two sessions, no problem as we offer a special low rate for those individuals to continue to ride the rest of the day. You just need to supply the bike in good mechanical condition so it'll pass tech. We rent gear (suit, boot, gloves) as well.
