What the heck was the first racer trying to do? Swerve into the left lane? Didn't do well with that...

I'm thinking light won't reflect off my flat black rims very well... But I'd like to try it. How many LEDs for effectiveness? And any particular kit or brand?

I've always averaged the KBB trade-in vs the retail to get a private party price. 2001 R1 = 3452 2003 Spirit = 2572 That's quite a difference, even with the $500. Take a closer look at the R1. edit: perhaps not, if you've got a lot of bling on your bike... Sounds like he wants out from that bike for some reason. My guess would be that it might have a salvage title. But what do I know, I'm probably paranoid and suspicious. Get someone with an R1 to look at it for you, that works well. Check the bike, check the VIN, check the lien, check the title. https://www.dps.state.oh.us/atps/ And yes, there will be a learning curve for a liter bike. Take it easy the first year.

Lay down a roll of chicken wire in your driveway, tack it down, and hook it up to this: http://www.amazon.com/Fi-Shock-SS-505CS-Powered-Electric-Energizer/dp/accessories/B0002YTLLS I'd say hook it up to all the car's frames like we used to do in the old days, but I'm not sure the modern car electronics would be agreeable with that. Using cattle fences on people is not so acceptable in some jurisdictions. And yes, it would be a PITB to connect it every night. I've made good use of battery operated outdoor silent motion alarms. I keep them pointed around the vehicles and stuff. You need to be creative in placing them. They shouldn't be too low to the ground. And hard to see, etc. I do get tired of false alarms from dogs, cats, raccoons, deer and coyotes though. They have to be pointed some way that traffic on the street won't set them off. Motion sensitive camera systems hooked up to a computer with audible alarms work well also. Plus they record the activity. This is the one I set up, but only because I wanted four units out there. And the alarm is a bit louder and annoying. http://www.amazon.com/Skylink-HA-318-Household-Alert-Motion/dp/B000EN69DU/ref=sr_1_cc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1305458272&sr=1-1-catcorr now in black, but the white works mounted up on the side of the house: http://www.amazon.com/Skylink-HA-434RTL-Range-Motion-Alert/dp/B003CWK4JK/ref=sr_1_8?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1305458413&sr=1-8 The single alarm units that have come onto the market should work just as well. There's a ton of different types, just search for driveway alarms. What you set up will vary depending on your driveway layout. Some are difficult to arrange for. And forget the baseball bat, get a tire thumper. Keep one hand free. edit: haha, reading the comments on Amazon... "a medieval multipurpose utility tool....sort of an early version of the Leatherman."

hahahaha, why the hell didn't I think of that.... yeah, now that good weather is here again, they will be out after the cats it's really random where they strike, but there is a range limit each night

Know the feeling. From back before a range officer was around. I had to "have a talk" with a militia dude that was walking all around with a loaded shotgun over his shoulder, finger on trigger. Not so bad, but he was wandering around behind me, with the barrel pointed at the back of my head. I could feel that without even looking. I kept a loaded .45 in my hand for that conversation. and watched him till he left shortly after. edit: He never said one word, he just wandered back to his camo pickup truck and left.

Me too.

The other thought was that he strangled. Like the mud pushed the helmet strap against his neck or something. Yes, a coroner will know. But helmet, gloves, body, eyes and face full of mud after sliding... I don't know... If it was able to force mud into mouth and nose, it would cause suffocation quicker than anything could be done about it. Just being upside down is more disorienting than what most people can handle.
-
If nobody noticed the latest, this is still a mystery. Thoughts are that maybe a deer or a car caused this to happen. It wasn't high speed. He wasn't injured. His full coverage helmet scooped up mud going down the embankment, and he suffocated. He was able to get his gloves off, and that was it. http://www.lancastereaglegazette.com/article/20110514/NEWS01/105140302

also used in Sonix? Typical part for in Britain and Asia. Don't see it around in USA. British eBay (I can't read Chinese) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sonix-15-LCD-Tv-part-INVERTER-board-P145025A101-Rev-A1-/400190683142 I doubt the part can be found new, but here's the Sony parts center: https://servicesales.sel.sony.com/ecom/accessories/web/index.jsp https://servicesales.sel.sony.com/ecom/accessories/web/partsResearch.do Yeah, you need a buddy with a friend or family in Taiwan. 18 Yuan is dirt cheap ($2.77). So that Biturbo Exhaust turbo makes it go faster? Tie it to the rack on the back of my bike. I can get it going over 70mph. It will probably be on it's side, but hey...

Kansas City Sport Bike forum. They think most of the stunter bikes in town are unregistered and possibly stolen bikes. They also expect heat on all sport bikes in town till the stunters are tracked down. http://www.kcsportbike.com/forum/index.php?/topic/44416-bike-chase-in-the-news/ Edit: and for fun... BloxStarz Groupies... except for that guy in the back. Yeah, not that one. The chest pockets are correct for a navy flight jacket, but the furry collar is the type from an air force A1, not G1. If you watch, you'll see mil-spec surplus sold once and a while on ebay. That would be the real stuff. I would know, I bought maybe eight of them for ultra cheap about 15 years ago when the US Navy announced they weren't going to give them to pilots anymore and liquidated them. The pilots disagreed and got the jackets back. One is issued to each pilot on graduation. Of the jackets I got from ebay, two were actually original world war two stuff in good shape and quite collectible. I was buying everything in my size I could find. Which I should mention, the real jackets are sized for a naval pilot with rippling abs, so I'd go at least one size larger at a minimum. Unless you want a really tight jacket that only fits over a T-shirt. The manufacturers vary per mil contract, but this one would be the real stuff. It can be bought at the store in the US Naval Air Museum (or mail order) in Pensacola Florida for $400.00. which is a good price. http://www.navalaviation.com/Clothing/Mens-Navy-G1-Bomber-Jacket/PAAAIAOCHKNOIMAJ/3008/Product They can also be found at places like US Wings, a store for pilots here in Ohio. Which is a decent place to get an idea of the different types of pilot jackets available. Both traditional and current. but I always though of their prices as being premium high. I did see one G1 lambskin jacket on sale that is worthy at $224.00, sizes large and up. At that price I think I might buy a new one. They also do high quality restorations and repairs. edit: changed my mind, the lambskin is a lightweight 3 season jacket, not for Winter. http://www.uswings.com/g-1.asp And the originals were goatskin, the newer ones are cowhide. The goatskin is both warmer and cooler than cowhide. If that makes any sense. Goatskin lets air in and moisture out. Also note that the real stuff is thick leather, and pretty much functions as armor for a pilot.

I have noticed in the past that when people get to age 30 and above, the courts expect a different behavior from them. They expect to see a level of maturity that wasn't there before, perhaps. I'm not so sure that would be as true anymore.

The girl on the shiny new pink scooter waved the other morning. Lots of new riders on the road. But you're right, not many waving this year. And I'm a bit lack luster also. And I have noticed not one squid has waved yet. Neither sport nor cruiser, if no helmet, no wave...

geez... call Carl Zipf locksmith on 5th Ave and explain. See if they can cut the key from the VIN. If not, remove the lock and take it to them. If not, trailer the bike over and have it done. All assuming that they will do it without a title and/or registration. Carl Zipf Lock Shop Inc 161 East 5th Avenue Columbus, OH 43201-2894 (614) 429-1146 Get directions Open Weekdays 8:30am-5:30pm

Kansas City - Hide your bikes, they be chasing them all over town. Motorcycle Trick Riders Prompt Pair Of Chases

All true, but 42 years of experience says skill works quite well. And more people should have it.

I've seen this website. But it was just starting up when I first looked. Works better with more people submitting ratings. Interesting.

I was wondering also. I think he met the requirements for two counts. One may have been intoxication, and the other reckless. Something like that. Both potential personal behavior that may have caused the results. Both could be guilty charges. It might also be true that he can only be charged with one of the two.

Pink shirt and white pants was the style, after Arnold Schwarzenegger was seen in downtown Columbus wearing just that. Of course, nobody said much to him about his choices...
-
There are no presumptions of death when a person accepts a ride. And apparently the courts would agree. In the Cincinnati area, a KY rider was just sentenced to 7 years this week, for complicity the death of a passenger in a motorcycle accident.

Would be my first choice... And yeah, I know about CDNN...
