  1. ok, by the foot here: http://www.mcmaster.com/#tygon-2075-tubing/=6pjelw
  2. Order from Professional Plastics here in Ohio 50 feet, you'd be selling it to the rest of us for years, heh...
  3. Good question, I used to, but times change. They might have stopped with the walk-ins. Which means buying by telephone or web or mail. I haven't been over there for a long time. I've never tried clear tubing for hydraulic fluid. But good clear tubing for fuel isn't easy either. But hardwares usually have something that will work for fuel.
  4. I've read on the Brit forums that they have trouble finding sv650s Puig in England, and just order them straight from Spain/Portugal/wherever. Sometimes manufacturers cease production for a while or even forever, if the sales don't justify the production. Even so, those parts can be found for years. Except the Sato cans for the 919. They decided to stop making them. Pretty much all gone, dang it... Yoshis are ok though. The pit-eck is the one in Miami for 55 bucks.

  6. I looked at the Puig website, but did not see one for 2003 sv650s. Puig is a good choice.
  7. Nope, I agree that doesn't sound quite right. Ohio stats are 80% are failure to negotiate a curve, or are collisions with a vehicle pulling into path. Split 50/50. So the half part is true, but I doubt the 80% fault of rider part. I could maybe believe 40% (the ran off the road half). To get 80%, we'd have to find the motorcycle at fault in most every motorcycle vs other vehicle collision. Not likely to be true. Or the other way is to say 40% running off of road (still a stretch to count it all), half of all vehicle collisions (20%), and all of the other 20% whatever it might be, to get 80%. Still not likely to be true. Just based on statistical averaging, it would be difficult to find one or the other group more than 50% at fault on the average overall.
  8. I don't think of 541 as being that bad, unless it's Westbound into the setting sun, that's not too much fun. Pick a corner, any corner... Somebody will recognize these, maybe all three. edit: let me rephrase that, is this first pic where the crash was? the second pic is eastbound out of New Guilford where Dave ran off the road, and the third is where a bike totaled on one of the Coshocton rides way back when. yet another edit: This is the corner ... the popsicle corner... (Thanks to Cheech data) I know this corner. First time I saw it I pretty much thought "This corner eats motorcycles". Maybe it's just 40+ years riding, but this one deserves a little practice first, before hitting it hard.

  12. Some bicycles don't have standard parts, and stuff has to be modified to work. That's the cheapest rim I think I've ever seen...
  13. ohgodnotthatgoldwingvideoagain... I went up 555 behind a GoldWing that had a passenger and knew the road. He kicked ass... wasn't getting away, but he was very fast through the turns.
  14. I'm guessing she did, from the bid record. But I'm also guessing it might take some work to make it fit, or not fit. 2003 sv650s was different than any other model or year. Which means it will fit yours, since this one was a 2002 sv650s.
  15. hrmmm, not that I've ever done anything like that... but... I'm really surprised the patrol car even moved to try...
  16. http://www.svrider.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71600 http://www.oneidasuzuki.com/COLOR MATCHED HUGGER 2003-09 SV650/S SV1000S Selected options: MODEL: SV650-SILVER-2003--990D0-17G85-YD8 $195.99 plus shipping Here's that part number on eBay Oneida Suzuki for 2003 sv650s or this one, same place has another both are silver for $139.95 each
  17. I'm looking at a Brit website, and the ones they sell are a hugger without chain guard for 99-02, and WITH chain guard for 03 and up. More confusion. Edit: Disregard this miami part, it's wrong, for a sv650, see post below Tell the boyfriend I screwed up...edit: is there a difference between sv650 and sv650s for the 2003 rear hugger? Answer: Yes, see next post...
  18. Just get that boyfriend of yours to buy you one, right now. I know you can do it...
  19. Fair warning, I'm looking at aftermarket huggers for sv650s, and it appears to be a different part for 1999-2002 compared to 2003-2009. I do not know what the difference might be.
  20. A trick I use sometimes when I can't make up my mind. I'll open a second browser tab or window, and set up a second last minute bid. If the first last minute sniping bid doesn't work, I can quick fire off the second one. I would bid at least 3/4 of the retail or sale value, since this is shown as stock, new, and in the factory shipping box. But admittedly, even being ruthless about a bargain, I throw money away all the time, so what the hell do I know... edit: the hugger part is not shown in the regular sv650 parts lists, which is interesting. And doesn't appear to be one of the options. But yet, it does appear to have a factory part number and everything. I guess that would make them a little bit hard to find...
  21. The seller is listing a stock Suzuki part number, retail 174.19, sale price maybe 156.77. Yes, you're looking at a deal. I suppose you have to have the silver as well, although a black carbon would look ok. fake or not.
  22. Half the fun on eBay is watching some one else pay way too much. Don't be that person.
  23. Yes, as many times as you want till the time expires. Please don't get carried away. Almost everything on eBay can be found and purchased cheaper, somewhere else on the internet, if you search deeply. edit: I only win about one in twenty of my eBay bids, because I want a really good deal, and I'll keep trying till I get it.
  24. Yes, add a little to the amount, to beat those that do the same. I typically would put in something like 105.55 for a hundred bid. It often knocks out anyone else trying to bid near 100 bucks.
  25. I'd say wait till the last 30 to 60 seconds, and then bid the maximum you are willing to spend. You take the chance, of course, that something might go wrong with the network connection when you wait that long. It doesn't happen very often, but it does happen. I'd also say that unless it is something rare, you will get another chance on another day, to buy something just like it.
